Snap
I think Miekle's twitter has dropped some hints and it sounds something different but I might be reading too much edit: oh I thought it meant Q games, will yeah of course major Vita games are coming.

Um I think we should take this with a grain of salt. Lumines for the Vita is basically Mielke's baby. He has every incentive to get people to keep hope alive, buy the Vita and in turn, hopefully buy his game.
I'm willing to bet that this is hyperbole and the games that are in the works are not really going to change the Vita's fortunes around much. Sony simply does not have anything in their stable that they can announce that can guarantee system sales like Nintendo does with its handheld. Unless Sony has somehow invented a time machine and can go back and keep MoHun exclusive to the Vita, nothing that Mielke knows is in development could possibly justify that kind of statement from him.

That is if 2 of them weren't already coming to the direct competitor. Also maybe a FF7 remake. But we know that's not happening.

So what is the point of not announcing them?
To get people who sold their launch Vitas on Craig's list to buy them again? I can see not announcing games that Sony (or the company in question) doesn't really plan on making - Gran Turismo, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, The Elder Scrolls, since there was the backlash when the game either gets canceled (DMC, TES), seemingly forgotten (RE), a half-assed job (GT) But if there are games that are actually going to come out within a year or two, announce them. |

Now, even if MH comes out for PSV, it's not the only place to play it. Yes the graphics and maybe the controls would be worse on the 3DS version, but honestly I don't think people care all that much. |

What does that mean? I see Monster Hunter having similar effects for Vita as it did for PSP. Higher system sales -> More developer support. It's the killer app Vita needs to get the public to bite.

3DS has something the DS didn't have which allowed for that to happen with the PSP.

Their main competitor has a huge momentum, is cheaper and now has access to the MH franchise (in the form of MH 4). I don't quite see MH doing for PSV what it did for PSP, not to mention PSV is currently pretty much dead in Japan.
