3 years from A1 to A2 is too short. It was a 4 year build-up to A1, I think another 4 year build-up sounds just right. 2013: IM3 and Thor 2 2014: Cap 2 2015: Ant-Man & Black Panther 2016: Avengers 2 Ant-Man and Black Panther in the year before Avengers 2 is like how they did Cap 1 and Thor 1 in the same year before Avengers 1. Take a year off of the established heroes to introduce a couple new ones, and to cleanse the palate before the main event. |

I think the cast can handle one or two more Avengers in the sequel. Especially if the new guy's intro happens in another movie. |

No more character introductions in solo films, please; that just shits up the film.

And yes, I think people forget that he's just a normal human who happens to be stronger than the most. He has his limit unlike Hulk or Thor. I think it was realistic that towards the end of the film, most of the human characters were almost flat out tired/wasted (ie. Hawkeye cringing in pain when he landed back first on the floor, Cap falling during his fight, etc). |

I thought his best line in the movie was "Gamma rays can be dangerous." |

dude banner was busy busy falling 30,000 feet. like someone else said i think it was mainly for Stark, since Phil had a dynamic with Stark, and Fury pointed out how Phil was a believer in heroes, and a believer in the Avengers initiative.

But yeah, I found it weird that they decide to be the avengers with only two at the battle, otoh, it's the two leaders. |

If Feige thinks they can find a way to fit it in and make it an actual appealing movie, with a new take on it, then it'll happen. If not, they won't do it. They're being smart about it. Just sort of underpowered in comparison to his role in the comics. Really doesn't bring anything substantial to the table as a 'leader' other than shouting arbitrary orders. |

I just realized one good thing about X-Men being stuck at Fox: I'll never have to watch a movie dealing with BP's boring as fuck marriage to Storm. :D Please. If they need a black guy to kill, that's what War Machine's bitch ass is for. T'Challa is too awesome for that. |

So I would end up expecting a larger supporting cast next time, and at most 1 new hero... if that. |

Saw it tonight...
Other than the worst crowd I've ever seen a movie with (my wife and I counted 17 times that a parent had to drag their crying child out, the rows in front and behind me were packed with children under 5, and there were people hooting and hollering the entire time as well as laughing loud and long and repeating lines...) it was still a fantastic movie. My favorite superhero movie to date. |

(Although his intro mission in Germany made me groan a bit. Defending an old man with his shield in the crowd before making a quip about Hitler? Yeah. Subtle. Along with the whole "There's only one God and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress that way", but I was willing to let that go for the sake of reaching out to the mainstream audience.) |

I thought Cap was great. The "Why should I listen to you?" cop was one of the best parts in the movie. And when they all circle up in that great shot, not really sure what to do next? Iron Man says, "Call it, Cap." Then he immediately knows where everyone needs to be, and everyone follows his orders, no hesitation, no questions.
I think he had a good arc. At the beginning, he's uncertain about his place in this new world. But by the end, he's learned how to lead this crazy group of superheroes. Tony also had a good arc, from selfish and stubborn to learning how to work with a team and take orders. I think it says a lot that he, of all people, was the one who told Cap to call it. And Bruce has a good arc in learning to come to terms with the Hulk and see how he can use it for good. Thor didn't really have much of an arc, though. At the beginning, he was Thor. At the end, he was Thor. Thor is an awesome thing to be, but he didn't really change at all, aside from coming to the realization that he probably shouldn't be the aggressor towards people who have the same goals and interests as him. |
