And what interests me is in the top right corner it says:

"Upgrade now! Click your way to 60! Challenging Bosses! Nightmare, Hell & Inferno Mode!"

And then an "Upgrade" button.

I can confirm while I could create a character I also get "Timed Out" errors when I want to start the actual game. :(

Could be the same way WoW is, you can play a limited version of the game and upgrade if you wish to play the full thing.

Starter Edition is a demo, yeah.

Also, this is everything I ever wanted out of a Diablo 3.

I can quickly see this always online "feature" getting annoying, having been disconnected already mid fight.

Remoted in to my home PC and started the Install. Hopefully there isn't a time frame of opportunity here, man, Trials Evo AND Diablo 3 on the same day?! Amazing.

It came after. A few months I think? I remember trying it to see if I actually cared for Starcraft, but I still don't.
