Well, I didn't; particularly after we knew pre-orders weren't really good.

Though, I am not sure why? I am pretty sure the 'why' part was discussed in detail in previous MC threads. Maybe someone can help?

My theories are:

Franchise fatigue, splintered fanbase across multiple platforms, plus the low quality of the DS installments probably gave off the wrong impression about 3D as well.

That, and I think there was no hype for the game from what I can gather.

- General loss of SE goodwill
- Previous Nintendo KH games not being very good.
- KH plotline being incredibly and increasingly convoluted and stupid and requiring you to buy every system under the sun to experience it.

= People going 'You know what, no'.

franchise fatigue + games released on all platforms + no new "main entry for way too long + bad previous DS KH games left a bad taste

edit: beaten.. twice. damn it!

Soul Sacrifice, perhaps. I doubt a new IP like that will really take off without more established IP to drive hardware sales, but I've been wrong before and it does seem like the sort of title SCEJ should be creating.

But how long do gamers have to wait for it? By the time it released, the Vita would probably be dead. Not to mention it's only one title.

That's a sad view.

At this rate KH won't pass 358/2 Days.

For a main game, and in comparison to BBS, this is horrible.

I hope this dosn't affect the possibility of more 3DS high production portable games from S-E

Damn, the Vita situation makes me sad. I just never want to see a console straight up fail. I wish it had a system-selling, must-have game over there.

Sony better hope Persona 4 can somehow keep it steady.

Don't worry Sony no one will think you're copying Nintendo if you go on major damage control, cut the price and buy a massive 3rd party exclusive.

Didn't already kinda do that with SFxTKN? I mean having capcom not only delay the DLC but also offer it for free to PS3 players must have cost them a pretty penny.

In comparison, what is 3DS Line up till the end of June?

seems last week's MIKU announcement didn't have any effect....

It took the looming release of the triad and a huge price cut to get 3ds back on track. To think mike could singly achieve anything was being overly optimistic. The same will likely happen with the new monhun clone unless they couple the announcement with other titles and a huge price cut.

I predict Fire Emblem: Awakening will be the highest selling title in the series yet.

Comparing that 3DS lineup to the Vita's is sad.

And that's just the 3DS lineup for next week; the Vita's is till end June.
Do something, Sony. My eyes are on your Soul Sacrifice announcement.

Vic

Please help me with my bad english
We need an updated graph of the Vita sales compared to the DC, NGC and others.

the monhun clone could even have the opposite effect, there still is a lingering belief on the part of some people that monster hunter is coming for vita, sony's clone could make them realise the real deal just aint happening

Will be interesting to see if KH3D sells much past its initial shipment. Also, 3DS is back to the pre-KH3D special edition levels. Golden Week is coming up, so we'll see if it drops much below this level once that's past a bit.

This is just horrible on Sony's part. They are doing nothing to reassure the public that Vita is a handheld worth investing in, while 3Ds continues to onslaught it with games. It's like watching the PS2/GCN all over again. I know e3 is in less than two months, but what the hell?

Also, Kingdom Hearts sales are being hurt by install base (and all the other things said). We didn't expect MH3G to sell as good or better than the PSP MHs, so why should KH?

It's a fighting game in Japan, it's not going to help much.

i argued that about instal base but it seems most here dont agree, it must surely have some effect though
