Yes of course. No Game Boy ever had a region lock.

I'm probably gonna take the plunge on Earthbound someday. For a complete copy, even :P Yes it's monumentally stupid to pay that much.. but it's one of the only expensive/rare games I really want. I can make one dumb decision for the sake of my gaming collection... and really, if you think about it, it's only the cost of 8-10 new games :P (edit: wait... that sounds more crazy as I actually read it :P)

Actually, I'm kind of kicking myself with regards to Metroid Prime Trilogy, too. I had the money to buy two games from Best Buy just before a huge snowstorm hit town, and it came down to that, or Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. I went with Tatsunoko, which I've proceeded to barely play. MPT was gone shortly thereafter and never came back.

I'm glad I found a copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy after the news that it was discontinued. There was still a copy at my local Zellers. It was full retail price but whatever. Dat steelbook.

I'm also glad to own the Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary and Skyward Sword with Gold wiimote. Nintendo actually had some rare releases this gen.

For those saying arcade machines are hard to obtain, use craigslist! The most I have paid for a machine is $450 (my Donkey Kong and ms Pac man). Most machines like a SFII can be had for $200-$250.
