Resorting to what? When someone says 'game runs fantastic for me' that doesn't mean shit. When you post a screenshot of your fraps and it says '35 fps', I know to take your opinion with a grain of sand and continue hoping the cpu/optimization gets much better. If you show me a screenshot of you in the black citadel or out in the world and you're getting 60+ fps steady, I know to think there might be something wrong with my rig. Saying "it runs great for me" means nothing. When someone says they're getting 60+ fps in this game at this stage, I'm a little leery.

There you go. Skip to about 18:00 if you want to see me do some clutch 2xVet mob kiting after getting my ass kicked half a dozen times as well. Obviously with the resolution on the stream being crippled you have to take my word for it that it was max settings (1680x1050, Sorry I don't game on a higher res monitor) and you can't see a framerate indicator, but you can watch the video yourself and attest that it runs fine.
If you're watching other shit, I've noticed some parts look REALLY stuttery on the stream, but they absolutely were not for me. Things like the intro videos looked smooth as silk but on the stream it looks like a slideshow. No fucking idea why. The game looked like that video ALL the time for me, except for a dip in Hoelbrak while streaming (not streaming the dip was only maybe 5 fps).

Either way, it was a nice tutorial explaining the combat mechanics. GW2 is in desperate need of something similar for launch.

Yeah, they said they're aware that the tutorials aren't where they need to be and have plans to implement better ones. Also, there will be a solution put in for launch that will allow you to easily play with your friends even in the overflow. Right now that's easily my biggest gripe and it was good to see official confirmation that they're working on it.

I'm thinking the same, asides from certain profession issues.

Do you know if we're playing the most current version of the game? I remember ANet saying they were working on balances for Mesmer & Guardian etc... stuff like that. To me if feels like an older build. Aside from including Lion's Arch, additional treasure & mobs.

Edit: I also remember a video where they were saying they were working on ranger pet issues they were having too, from an interview. I think from TotalBuscuit.

They recommend stock clocks vs overclocking right now, for performance reasons. It's in the Tech FAQ

I noticed no difference between stock and overclock speeds so I just kept my overclock.

Would you guys recommend Guardian or Necromancer as just a fun ass class to play?

i've been enjoying my necro a lot, but only level 10 so far. you can get pretty good single target spells and AE spells that weaken enemies and can heal other players. plus you can summon awesome pets.

I'm pretty sure dungeons are in game, or so everyone has told me. But at level 30 I believe? It's one the reasons I've decided to just stick with my Necromancer for now.

hmm i am noticing that the level indicators on the quests are going faster then i can keep up level wise. i just polished off the personal quest for level 14 at level 12 and i cant easily see anything around for my level that i havent already done. I must have missed some areas around level 8-12.

The level pacing is a touch off. I've found my self consistently 1-2 levels too low for the next new content. There are a few solutions: keep repeating the events in the area you're in or move to the other areas. You can level through any of the 3 starter zones.

And being behind in levels in this game SUCKS. 1-2 level advantage for them means they shitstomp you.

Need to work in my camera control and my targeting issues, its hard for me to keep the target sometimes D:

Tried PvP and its fun but sometimes i don't know what is going on, as everything is new and i'm not used to the game its difficult to follow all the action, as it can be chaotic when there are 2 and more people fighting.

Liked the maps and with coordination the modes would be more fun imo.
