I recently added the Dustforce soundtrack to my ipod touch to listen too when running at the gym. You can get it on the cheap from Steam at the moment.

Some examples:

Streets of Rage 2 - Go Straight
Streets of Rage 2 - Dreamer
Etrian Odyssey III Super Arrange - Battlefield - The First Campaign
Mighty Switch Force! - Whoa I'm in Space Cuba
Mighty Switch Force! - Love You Love You Love
Sonic Generations - Classic Crisis City
Sonic Colours - Terminal Velocity Act 1
Tales of Xillia - That Fist, Blinking Decision
Tales of Xillia - School Battle Theme
Apollo Justice - Pressing Pursuit~Cornered
Ys III: Wanderers from Ys (PCE) - The Boy's Got Wings
Ys III: Wanderers from Ys (PCE) - Valestine Castle
Ys III: Wanderers from Ys (PCE) - The Strongest Foe
Ys IV Perfect Collection 3 - Theme of Adol 1993
Castlevania: Chi no Rondo - Divine Bloodlines

And more. I usually like to switch it up per day, but generally include some of the stuff listed above everyday. Actually, a lot of stuff I listen to when I work out comes from the PCE era, or from anything Yuzo Koshiro composed, lol. Basically, make sure it's something that energizes you to keep going. Don't listen to something relaxing or peaceful unless you're really into that sort of thing, because it's going to slow down your pacing when you work out. And this isn't VGM, but when I was in high school, our teacher had us listen to Eye of the Tiger during our warmups, so I listen to it out of habit first.

When I do yoga or pilates, I listen to quieter stuff.

When I study or read, I'll usually listen to anything, but as long as its content doesn't get in the way of my concentration (ex: if the VGM has lyrics that get in the way, or the music's too energetic, I don't listen to it). When I drive or walk, I listen to random videogame music. It depends on my mood or the environment, I guess.

Do not drive to any F-Zero X track. You'll get a ticket guaranteed...or at least want to run through any form of traffic sign.

EDIT: I dont think i'd stop running if I had Terminal Velocity Act 1 on repeat. Actually thats pretty good to drive to if you're late for something.

Deus Ex HR Soundtrack - When I'm at the gym. Theres a nice ramp up (if you extract the music from the game) between ambient/stealth to combat that gets my blood pumping. Mirrors Edge is still my fav when running.

Kid Icarus Uprising when I'm writing reports at work, with the exception of the final level. It looses its punch when taken outside of the games context and is very repetitive.

It seems like whenever I'm doing busy work like washing the dishes, cutting the grass, etc. I listen to the Sonic Colors OST. Whenever I want a change of pace I listen to the Rayman Origins OST, LoZ: Wind Waker OST, or Super Smash Bros. Brawl OST. Sometimes I listen to the Halo: ODST soundtrack to go to sleep especially Overture. So good.

Try listening to Memories of Green while on a park bench in the middle of a quiet spring day/ sitting on the beach staring over the ocean.

The LoZ: WW soundtrack is superb, and made studying that much more bearable.

Forest Haven is probably my favorite video game tune at the moment. Incredibly relaxing.

I usually listen to videogame music (alongside other kinds of music) while I work, read or drive.

I don't really make a preference depending on the activity, however listening to driving games music while I drive is a big taboo for me. I noticed I tend to drive faster when I do, so I've banned it from my car.

Especially Moon Over The Castle from Gran Turismo 2: http://youtu.be/kQMlzcbfz0I

Or the GT4 beautiful orchestra version: http://youtu.be/_BDasfJ9dk8

Or Never Let Me Down (GT2 Japanese version): http://youtu.be/UyiIQBrR88o

Or Kiss You Goddbye (GT4 Japanese version): http://youtu.be/kvy0XkMe3ug

So awesome!
