On that note (one of the stars of said film):

He has also made some terrible choices in Hollywood when they were trying to make him into a leading man, but his lower budget work is superb, such as Trust, The Boys are Back and Closer. |

I meant that he stoped with Brown after "Roger" BttF 3 was 1990. But other than that I don't see "hit" or high-profile roles unless you care to point some out.

He had been acting for 20 years by the mid '90s. He's had an enormously successful career. |

Bloom is wooden as fuck and has zero range. I imagine he made enough dough out of LOTR / Pirates to never work again so we all win.

I think a good candidate could be pre-Sin City Mickey Rourke. Dude was an awesome actor and potential to be a huge star. Then fucks it all up and goes dark for about 10-15 years before a career renaissance. Nah, she's got the Thor movies to keep her relevant while she pursues her more interesting roles. |

Black Swan wasn't that long ago right? And didn't she recently have a kid? I feel like she'll still be on the upswing for at least 3 mire years.

I mean some of the movies she did obviously she didn't care about at all but she did them anyway to keep herself relevant in certain demographic. That's a dedicated actor.

however, successful is obviously anniston. You might not like her brand of successful but she is pretty much guaranteed bank for any movie studio. They can churn out 3x 'shit romcom staring jennifer aniston' per year and get good profit on all of them. She's found an awesome niche and she's easy on the eyes, so good for her.

Edit: no, wait that's stupid. Halle Berry and Charlize Therone did it and had no problems.

She actually did quite a bit... Wouldn't say it was quality work, but her career certainly didn't die. Off the top of my head she did Scooby Doo 1 and 2, Southland Tales and the Grudge.

(And T2 as well but whatever) Seriously though, all things considered he's doing well for himself. Especially compared to most other child stars.

Didn't he beat the shit out of his wife or something? Fuck him. EDIT: He was accused of abuse, and left threatening voice mails:http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/20...ug-use-murder/ Also doesn't pay child support: http://www.tmz.com/2011/10/02/termin...uperior-court/

If anything, we've demonstrated a lot of evidence that actresses not named Meryl Streep have a much shorter shelf life than actors.
I think Doris Roberts from Everybody Loves Raymond said that work for actresses above the age of 30 or 40 is very hard to come by. |

Why? A 40 million take from being the main character of a six-season TV series and a handful of movies actually sounds like he kinda got a raw deal, if you break it down. An adult actor would have undoubtedly been paid many times that for the same work.
