The one where Bayman got hit by a guaranteed PB. I doubt he would have been able to get out of stun, and back turn state fast enough. PB aren't going to be something that can be mashed, but they will be used. I just hope there's damage scaling with comboed PB.

I can think of no comparable situation off of a BT stun in any current DoA with a move with startup as long as a powerblow that would allow it to be guaranteed in that situation.

So, given that, going to say it's not guaranteed, and continue to think they'll be used only as a way to bait counters.

But that's theory fighter. Maybe it was guaranteed.

That's already 7 characters and the game is still a few months away. I'd expect most of the cast to be revealed by E3. Tina, Lisa, Kokoro, Helena, Lei feng as well as the rest of the dudes- Zack, elliot/genfu, Bass, Jann lee, Brad wong.... not to mention the possibility of alternates like Leon or Ein showing up. Then you have the bosses from previous games. As well, given that DOA4 offered up a couple new characters (lisa, kokoro, elliot ) I'd be suprised if tecmo didn't add at least 1 or 2 more.

As well we've got the VF guest characters , I doubt Akira is the only guest , I imagine we'll see another VF dude and 2 girls as well.


I'm liking this new game engine so far, great textures, lighting, the characters look better then ever, as well they now get filthy, damage clothing and even sweat. I really want this to be team ninja dogs first bit success.

When I was younger I used to have a thing for Bayman. When I saw that poster I was a bit disappointed.

At least he looks better in motion... but I would like to see a bit more of his old look back (mainly the face).

Anyway, Christie looks awesome, minus the the underwear-on-the-outisde part of her costume. Remove that and we're good.

what do you mean "alternate".Leon is an individual. Ein is the only alternate(to Hayate). Eliot and Gen Fu are also individuals.

Too bad the Team ninja is (obviously) not very interested in the male characters... that usually shows in the lack of costumes and even the modeling of the characters that I find less refined than the females. There are hoardes of gay players that would pay for skimpy and slutty male outfits... But that would probably scare their usual clients away.

I wouldn't mind equal opportunity pandering to both genders. I found the lack of swimsuits for the males despite the girls having DOAXBV outfits in DOA2U really weird.

The only slutty outfit I can think of belonged to Ein in DOA2U, where he's shirtless and in shackles, with unbuttoned red pants. My female friend definitely liked to play in that costume when she picked him. That said, don't forget the female player base! Gays and females want some love, too, Team Ninja.

Anyway, too bad Ein's not attractive. I would love to see Bayman in tight swimming trunks or something. I actually kind of like him in the render posted above, just not in the "I'm a Fighter" poster.

Admittedly, I'm the same way. If none of the characters have at least one decent outfit, I will not play as them. That's usually not a problem for the girls, though. They have some good stuff :D

I don't think the male characters are less refined though. Jann Lee's modeling in particular is great.
