I also loved the Ballad of Gay Tony one. It had Luis blowing up boats, hijacking helicopters and trains, the cops chasing him, and juxtaposed that with the cheesy club disco and all the people dancing in unison in Tony's club. Was perfect for that add-on :lol |

Just looked up the DLC. What a fucking joke! Higher damage bullets in MP for preordering... seriously? I'll probably just wait for a Steam sale before I buy this game. I just can't trust Rockstar with the PC version of the game until they actually deliver.

Nahhh, GTA in the 3D era has always been split shooting and driving, and the shooting part has always been pretty bad. The feel, the sound, the look, etc. Euphoria helped in regards to the body physics of GTAIV, but it still felt pretty terrible juggling the GODAWFUL cover system, and "tap to run." The guns still sounded terribad too. The games were always great in spite of the shooting mechanics.
RDR marked the first time I really loved shooting stuff in a Rockstar game. Despite the mechanics still being a little jank, the sound and feel of the weapons was great. Plus the updated Euphoria physics looked even better. Max Payne 3 is a big deal for Rockstar. Hopefully they don't regress with GTAV. |

Brief interesting article on HEALTH's involvement with the score.
http://www.list.co.uk/article/41810-...-3-soundtrack/ HEALTH's John Famiglietti explains: ‘We would create a lot of music and then have the stems broken up – different types of music for different types of shootouts and levels of action – and they would have to be able to stack on top of each other so it could loop and play indefinitely. And it has to stay in the correct mood. Plus, there’s super-loud gunfire happening over the music at all times, so it has to work with that. And you have to keep in mind that, in real life, someone’s gonna be playing these levels for a fucking hour-and-a-half at a time. It was pretty challenging.’ |
