Was watching Castle (because it IS okay to have a man crush on Nathan) and I was thinking how TV shows and movies sometimes have those scenes that are awkward and make you cringe. Expanded that thought to videogames and started thinking of scenes in games that have made me cringe because of various reasons.

1. Haruka/Saejima - Yakuza 4 Haruka (age 12 in Yakuza 4) is going to tell Kiryu that Saejima is awake after washing ashore, he grabs her to stop her as Kiryu was going to ask the police for help. He lands ontop of her with his leg between her legs just looking down at her with the clear look of wanting to rape the girl. The scene just stays on FAAAAAAR too long and becomes awkward for both her and you the player. When the scene is over you might be sitting there thinking....did that just happen?!

2. Femshep/Traynor - ME3 Femshep invites Traynor up for chess and Traynor is excited to see a shower with hot water. Femshep tells Traynor she can use the shower if she wants (which is weird, Traynor would have to explain to everyone why she's walking around with toilettres and going up to the Cdr.'s room). In the shower Traynor is going on about how amazing it feels and the scene cuts back to Femshep with this creepy look of excitement on her face. Traynor drops a hint that she wants your Femshep's box, and Femshep enters the shower fully clothed. It wouldn't have been as awkward if not for the fact the "wet" texture was universal on both character skin and clothing.

Those are the two off the top of my head.

The only one I can think of is Shadow Hearts 2: (Big spoilers) Yuri's attempt to revive Alice. It was supposed to be an emotional moment since it's been dragged from the ending of the first game, but Yuri's face animation in that scene completely ruins it. It's was so awkward and bad animated that made me feel very uncomfortable.

I still love the game to death though.

But in regards to the one in the OP I got as far as having Traynor in the shower, but declined her invite. Shep's never looked more awkward.

I think Para-Medic's voice actor either changed or forgot who Para-Medic was for the new lines in Snake Eater 3D, because she sounds really awkward. Specifically the scene where Snake is badly wounded and Para-Medic is explaining to him how to heal himself in the survival viewer. She sounds like a bored teenager being forced to read from her textbook in front of the whole class.

Someone should really record that and put it on YouTube.
