The original is still the most fun I ever had on a console, and the greatest football game made.

If only we had been old enough to pitch our Mutant League Soccer idea....

Didn't all EA games have that style cart? When they started making games for the Genesis, they did so without a license from Sega. Accolade did the same thing.

I loved Mutant League Football as a kid (still haven't been able to track down a copy of ML Hockey) and would definitely buy any future sequels/spin-offs.

I'd swear there was a version in development for PS2 - I remember seeing a screenshot or two in a gaming mag back in the day!
At least it was included in EA Replay on PSP...

Mutant League Hockey
General Chaos (the FPS before FPS existed, chose your weapon loadout, gun jamming, had classes, etc.)

Todd's Adventures in Slime (awesome playing 2p, sliming your buddy, setting up a bomb and trying to run out of the room before it exploded and wiped everything out)

Such awesome multiplayer games on Genesis!

The later too had shit framerate though.

Just found something interesting!

Apparently if you complete the "Blitz Gauntlet" in the newest NFL Blitz on PS3/360, you unlock a team full of zombies with the Mutant League logo on their jerseys!!

I'd link a screenshot but it's on Brotaku (which I think is a banned site here...?) so just Google "NFL Blitz Mutant League" if you want to check it out.

I remember that. I wouldn't read too much into it, though. To me it has the feel of some devs giving a shoutout to a dead series just for fun.
