The eshop is up for latin america it seems. I can get in from Peru (where I live), I couldnt before (It showed a message like "not avalible in your region") but the shop is empty!! Maybe is a test and they accidentaly opened up for everyone?
Edit : there is one category, "Games avalible in stores now" but that's it Edit 2: There is a message in the Notification tab, basically it says "You now can download the ambassador games" and "currently there is no content to be bought for your region but we will provide selected free content in the future." Edit 3: Found some update for all nes ambassador games, I thought only some of them were updatable? well maybe that's just me not checking here often enough

Wario Land hasn't even been rated by the ESRB for 3DS yet. http://www.esrb.org/ratings/search.j...mHome=fromHome I don't know how NOA does things, but I think we will know when Wario Land is coming.

afair there were updates for the NES games which did nothing visible. later on some "NES console+TV"-icon updates came for some games (LoZ, Metroid and SMB,... in EU at least)

Why the hell is NOA killing their own e-shop for the 3DS? The damn thing has barely been out for a year and the list of games they've released is absolutely pathetic (Unless you were lucky enough to be an Ambassador) and now they've just stopped releasing anything at all. It's not like they don't have a selection of games to work with, since NOJ is getting plenty of good games all the time while America is getting crap. Hell, if their not going to bother releasing any Gameboy games, put up the damn GBA games at least (which are already done) and charge for those.
I've never seen a company where I had to bitch at them to take my money.... *Shakes head* |

I wouldn't call it lucky. I paid $250 as opposed to the people who paid $119 minus a $20 rebate just a few months ago when all of the major Canadian retailers had it on sale. (And the Black Friday sales which were also $119)
Is $130+ really worth it for NES games you'll never play and maybe five playable GBA games? Granted, those who managed to get the 3DS price drop early from Costco and other retailers and ALSO get the Ambassador games did get a fairly good deal. I get your point though completely, I said the exact same thing last week, Nintendo just doesn't want our money, even though there are a good 30+ GB/GBA games I'd be willing to pay for. |

They better fucking release Kirby's Block Ball this Thursday. No fucking excuse, especially with it being up on the eShop. I was excited up until I saw it was not "formally" released yet.
And yes, some more Wario would be much appreciated. Actually, anything worth a damn would be nice. :/ |

Do we even need the PR this week? It looks like we're getting Bird Mania 3D, Amoebattle, and probably a mention of the Kid Icarus anime reruns on Nintendo Video.
Oh, and spoiler: Next week looks like 3DS Sudoku by Nikoli DSiWare Paul's Shooting Adventure 2 Who knows what - if anything - they'll have for Wii in these updates. It seems odd that they're still not giving advance notice of Wii releases and barely any for 3D releases yet we can see what's in the pipeline for DSiWare for a month right now. 5/24 - Snakenoid Deluxe 5/31 - 99Seconds 6/7 - Cat Frenzy If you're anticipating any sort of 3DS VC or 3D game, you should really keep your expectations in check for at least the next two weeks. In the meantime, we can pray that some of the stuff we've been waiting for (Picross-e) shows up at E3. |

Fucks sake, if they seriously don't get any VC games on tomorrow then I'll have to take back (most) of the bad things I've said about Wii VC. At least that got most of the awesome stuff up in a timely manner, or at least PUT STUFF UP, only now that most of Nintendo's major releases are out and third party interest seems to have tapered off have updates died. This is starting to remind me of how bad SCEA was with PS1 updates to the PSN (and they STILL need to work on that.)

I'll admit the rest are fine, I guess it's just a matter of myself already playing Wario Ware / Zelda / Metroid so many times that I kind of forgot about em being included. I guess it just comes down to personal value. The only games I'm actually playing out of the ten GBA games are Warioland, Kirby, and Yoshi's Island. I had my fill of Mario VS Donkey Kong with the VC GB release. I did try to play Fire Emblem, but I'm used to playing Advance Wars or Final Fantasy Tactics which both move so much quicker, Fire Emblem just moves soooo slooow. |

I wrote Super Circuit off at first too, and it's still not great, but I've been having a bit of fun with it the past couple weeks. At the very least I think it's better than the pile of garbage that is Mario Kart 64 now. F-Zero however is awful

You can turn off the battle animations and hold A to make the characters move faster on the map. Makes the game a breeze.

What about the stupid relationship system, the item system, needing to go into towns and cities to meet with people, etc. All of the other crap that slows shit down =/

The 2D Mario Karts still have far and away the best track design. It's just a shame about the handling.

I disagree, I think F-Zero:MV is one of my favorites in the series. It plays different from the others, rather than using the shoulder buttons with turning, you have to do little pumps with the accelerator. Once you get the controls down it's a really fun racing game. Though I am extremely biased as I played the living crap out of that game with my best friend in middle school.

RobotHaus above me more or less already said it, but apparently you have to tap the A button around turns, instead of just banking or breaking or drifting or what not.

what's with the GBA hate? even the worst GBA game of the 10 provided is better than the best NES game provided.
MKSC and FZMV are just as playable as their predecessors. anyone who says otherwise has nostalgia-tinted lenses over the originals. (though you could find all of them unplayable if you're used to the 3D games of each series...) |

Yeah, I like the other F-Zero's I've played SNES, X, and GX, but I couldn't get into this one. The handling is crazy. I think I like the 3D ones the most.

tapping the gas and using the correct shoulder button while turning makes a ton of difference. also, use ships with good grip and handling (the first ship handles quite bad. avoid that one)

IIRC, I settled on the green one after trying out all four of the initial ones (which is also my favorite color, so that was a nice bonus). Granted, that was before I knew about the A tapping trick, but nevertheless I liked the way it turned more than the others, which is pretty important in a game where hitting walls can literally mean death. Didn't end up sticking with the game, but that car got me by the one tournament I did attempt.

All of that is part of the strategic gameplay, it's not some kind of filler. Even meeting with people and going in houses before they're destroyed and such make for strategic decisions, planning ahead about your movements. |

Hopefully NOA lets us buy the Advance Wars GBA titles soon... |
