Finally someone started a thread! I was really hoping I wasn't going to have to do that. Good job!
I had the pleasure of interviewing a couple of he Awesomenauts devs at Eurogamer Expo 2011 and fell in love with the game there. It's already got an 8/10 from Edge, so I'm eagerly awaiting Wednesday! http://www.edge-online.com/reviews/awesomenauts-review

Been waiting for this game all year, and late last year, when it was *suppose* to come out in the last quarter. The news early this week that it MIGHT not be coming was a bitter blow, so getting over THAT, and finally having the releases confirmed, was a great relief!
LOVE 2D Gaming. LOVE 80's Cartoons. LOVE the fact the game offers the ability to take guest online with you for your team. It's like a perfect concentration of some of my favorite things ever, all rolled into one! Anywho, here's the achievement list off their facebook page too, if you want to add it to the opening. Since they had such a nice image, it just makes it easy:) And for fans of 80s toons, the references are just wonderful (and even somewhat obscure at times, which is great) ![]() 1.) Yoooo JOE!: Win an online game session. 2.) Master of the Universe!: Reach max level. 3.) Wings of silver : Collect 35 Solar on a drop-pod drop. 4.) Slimer's evil twin: Kill the Solar boss in an online game session. 5.) Awesomenauts, roll out!: Unlock 3 characters. 6.) Thunder, thunder, thunder!: Get a killing spree. 7.) In pole position: Make the most kills of both teams in an online game session. 8.) Party at Sky Vault: Win a game session with 2 friends splitscreen. 9.) Let our powers combine!: Play a game session with friends invited through the game session setup. 10.) Bionic family: Win game sessions with six different characters. 11.) T-U-R-R-E-T powah!: Destroy 25 turrets. 12.) Hawk, wolf, puma and bear: Kill 1000 droids/creeps. |

Heh, I like all the references (I got about all of them, I think), but this one is my favorite by far. One of the few shows where the theme song stuck with me through childhood up until now. Great to see it got some love from Ronimo!

The game is pretty fun. Easy to get into if you've played league of legends or DoTA to get the basic concept.
It is much more simplistic, however you will still get owned if the other team is higher level than you. The combat is fast and frantic and is like a 2D action RPG. As the game progresses, your character levels up and you are able to buy upgrades to your character such as extra skills or extra damage/range/stun duration. By the end, your character will feel pretty powerful. Keep in mind the enemy is likely just as powerful if the match has been balanced. I like it, try the demo. The art style is very appealing to me. |

I got this game free with PlayStation Plus today, and I found it it be quite fun! The gameplay is somewhat reminiscent of Crash Commando, for those who are familiar with that game. The characters are neat, and it's fun to try out their abilities and see which ones suit your play style. I've only played with three characters so far, but I look forward to unlocking and trying the rest of the cast as well.
I'm not much of an online gamer these days, but I popped online for a few games. It's easy to get into, without much overhead. If you're a "team player" (or at least try to be one), then you'll do very well. |

Buh, I'm about to bite. Either I'll get a few months of Plus for other free games or drop the $10 for this one game.
The deciding factor is that their publisher is bankrupt? How is that affecting the devs? Is the fact that it's free for Plus members potentially hurting their sales? Would it be more beneficial to pay the $10? A game like this DEFINITELY needs continued support. |

This game is a ton of fun and as someone who doesnt play mobas, it made it simple enough to comprehend the basics and strategies you should be looking for. Won already a couple games and am gravitating to Leon. At forst i thought he was bad but his tongue is good for pursuing and once you upgrade his basic attack he becomes such a force in destorying turrets.

Game is up on Xbox Live Arcade! (USA links) Full Game || Demo
Has a nice introductary stage setup, and after that, I simply played a practice game. Can't put time into it now, but so glad to see it finally out! Hopefully, we get confirmation of the publisher and Ronimo being able to work out everything soon, as this great little game needs no dark blemishes making people wary of purchasing it. Hope to have just as much fun with this as I did original MNC on XBLA, and hope it DOESN'T follow that games broken promise of consta-content.

I'm not feeling this game at all. The outcome of a match is decided so early on! It's all about whoever manages to collect the most money, and thus upgrades, first. Then it's just a 20 minute grind of using those superior upgrades to slowly destroy turrets as the enemy team stands no chance. Not a fan of how the match design - i.e. the fact that you start out weak as fuck desperately needing upgrades in order to play properly - means that everyone just runs away from everything. Every fight I've had so far ends with me killing them with my superior mech, or them running away with their superior speed. Pretty dull.
Hopefully it gets better once my friends start waking up and getting online. Maybe I'm getting frustrate by playing with stupid randoms who don't get it. Like that one guy who never did anything but abuse the stupid bull attack over and over and over. Also, it gets some minus points for not having proper offline play. There's a practice mode, but I assume that doesn't allow ranking up and so on...why else would it be "practice?" Why no 2 on 2 offline action? |

Voltron or whatever his name is, the healer, is the most absurd character in the game. You can set him up so you make extra money from healing stuff, give yourself drones which you in turn can heal for a constant stream of free money, and his healing buffs the pre-existing drones in the level and give them double health and damage. It's like they threw every over-powered idea they've ever had at the healer.

AwesomeNauts is great. Played it a few matches today. Characters might not be balanced, but the teams can be. Sure a healer can't compete with a buffed tank, but a healer can help a teamate out so much. This is a team game, if you play as a team you will win. |
