Good news! New Teddie is not Yuri Lowenthal. Sam Riegel is Teddie's new voice actor. Though it really does sound like Yosuke doing a poor imitation of Teddie at times. Still, that should restore your will to live!

Damn, I should've thought of it. Sam Riegel for sure. No offense to the man, I mean...his Phoenix Wright was 100% on point and I love him in Sengoku Basara too, but he is not doing a good job with Teddie. I think Steve Blum would've been a better choice...

Because it's one of the most highly praised JRPGs in the last several years and you likely don't have much else to play on the Vita right now anyway, and no you don't need to play other Persona games to enjoy it. Only 2 really connected to 1 in a significant manner, and then with the PSP version of 3 it connected to /4/ in what I presume was a throwaway cameo.

You could perhaps argue the element of mechanical evolution and that playing 4 will make it hard to go back to 3, but if that is a serious concern then just grab P3 off the PSN and see what you think of it, the PS2 version is up for PS3 and the PSP version dropped in price to $20 recently.

So glad Atlus USA finally confirmed it. I wonder if they'll be doing Social Link packs again, I missed out on those the first time. If you saw the responses to the PS Blog item Aram mentions "Any changes for Persona 4 Arena with regards to the voice cast *do not necessarily indicate* changes for Persona 4 Golden." So there's some hope maybe for those who are worried.

I think the target audience for the game is mainly people who didn't play it the first time around, so it makes sense that they might downplay the VA changes. I haven't played the game before, so I won't notice.
