But Bane's coat is Bruce's nice coat from Batman Begins, but with extra fluffy collar. The power of the coat overcomes the breathing mask clogging and gives Bane the extra boost in power. Bane loses in the end of the movie only because he takes off the coat of power.

At which point Joseph Gordon-Levitt dons the coat and is enveloped in the power, causing him to become a super hero under the official name of "Bat-Boy". Gaf then proceeds to implode.
