Also i'd rather have the time stay as it is and ad a system where you need to consume 2 liters of fluid each day, just in real life. drink only 1 liter for several days and you can become severely dehydrated, risking death |

I played Lingor once before with regular Arma and it looked great. One problem I see with Lingor in DayZ Bridges will be camped as it is the only way to get from island to island without a water vehicle. Unlike Cherneraus, Lingor is full of narrow chokepoints between islands which just screams sniper heaven. An interesting difference from Chernaraus but I don't think it's a good difference. Sniping is easy enough, giving snipers narrow lanes to snipe will be awful. |

The SVD is so rare that lots of people are willing to make ridiculous trades for it. I agree that military weapons in general should be rarer - I'd like to see more lower tier weapons, especially melee - but in this particular case it was just a piece of very good luck. I'd like some refinement of the system as well. Dehydration should be linked to what you're doing and the time of day. When low your vision should start to blur, you lose the ability to eat, and at dangerously low levels you should only be able to walk and start to faint randomly.

One other feature I'd really like to see is the ability to customise weapons from finding (rare) parts around.
So instead of say finding an M4 with a red dot sight you'd find the basic gun (possibly have a gun with attachment as a very rare spawn), and be able to fit attachments such as IR laser sights, holographic sights, suppressors, under-barrel grenade launchers etc. I'd also like it if you had to repair weapons you found to get them working, rather than finding fully functioning stuff that's been exposed to the elements. Having most weapons spawn with rusted barrels seems like a reasonable solution without overcomplicating it. |

none of these tricks seem to work for me, included the new popular flush command. hopefully this standalone game doesn't effect the people that play the beta. we should still have full support until the standalone is released, even though it already seems to have slowed down.

Two weeks away from the game and my nerves have gone to shit. Just finished a fairly successful loot in Cherno (well, loads of equipment and a pistol with plenty of ammo, but no real primary!), ran out into the woods, and aborted at the first sound of shooting, even though it was way away from me and not a threat. I need to work back up to feeling over-confident!

Most of the graphics fixes are just flushes in disguise.
What I've found will work most every time is this: Get to where the corruption is constantly on your screen. Exit the game. Restart the game. Voila. It seems that if I start in area where I'd already see the corruption I don't actually get the corruption. Oh, btw, new arma2 beta patch just hit, 95724. http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php [95691] Changed: buildRequired is now limited by the server version, server can never require a higher version than its own. |

the Stalker engine might have been pretty good for this game actually, its just the right balance of simulation and fun for gunplay and it can render huge maps |

The engine is Real Virtuality 3 for Arma2 and Real Virtuality 4 for Arma3. The largest question in my mind is how much of the almost entirely script-driven nature of Arma2 comes from the engine and how much is just the game design? This is a very important question when considering how well they'll be able to implement anticheat in the standalone. They haven't decided whether it will be on RV3 or RV4 at this point. |

edit: oh you mean new engine and not Stalker? well yeah, but if they're using Arma2/3, won't they just not be able to stop hackers without modifying how the engine handles the client? |
