This is a good one, as well as the guy who had the praying mantis pet thread. It was named Captain Kill-something if I remember correctly.
I also personally liked the 360 topic where the guy complained the light on the controller was too bright. Yeah, on the gaming side this was a big one. |

That Beyblades one is kind of depressing. I tried to go to his MySpace and YouTube pages and they are nowhere to be found. He's like vanished from the internet, scarred from the fallout of his GAF beyblades thread.
The dude was just enthusiastic about beyblades. Cut him some slack! |

The one where some guy proposed to his girlfriend and she came clean about being a masseuse that gives happy endings. Turns out she also kept a blog about it along with her friend that introduced her to it. It had nutty stories of clients like one guy yelling, "it's just like a porno!" as he finished, and gaffers were flooding the blog with comments, some pretending to be riskychris.
It was actually kind of sad, because the op started the topic under the ruse that his ex-gf became a whore and he "tricked" her into admitting it, when really he was mindfucked about what truly happened. It wasn't until later in the thread that the truth became apparent, but still most posters never really put it altogether to realize it. Edit: link http://m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=392892

I'd have to nominate jbaird, but PossumGaf is pretty far up there.

Damn, I thought you were banned in that. If I had known I wouldn't have brought it up. Sorry man.
Really thought that thread went longer than it should have been allowed to. I thought a lot of people got away with doxxing or fishing for info to do it.

My personal favorite and the one that sticks out to me most was RPGCRazied's wait for the import of Xenoblade Chronicles. The whole thing was legendary. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthre...=440547&page=5

You know what's always a little surreal? Seeing something in one of these gaf-history threads that sounds interesting (and that I've never heard of before), perusing the thread in question...and finding my own post(s), right there. No memory of the event, and yet there it is - physical evidence that I was actually "there." Surely I can't be the only one who experiences this.

The thread became so big it was single handedly tearing the site apart and sadly had to be completely wiped out. If Euro 2012 is even a quarter as enjoyable to follow here as World Cup 2010 then it will be good times.

Very recent thread. OP creates thread asking if the internment of Japanese-Americans was the biggest failure of American "justice," adding that he was Japanese, but had just moved to the US last year.
GAF detectives prove that he is just a sad weeaboo, but the OP denies all proof until the very end. http://neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=461869 |

The Lips photoshop thread.
There was also a thread about a guy struggling to understand why his HDTV had black bars when he's playing games, which involved some very badly drawn pictures in Paint? I've tried looking for the thread since but have had no luck! Anyone know what I'm on about? |

Yeah, Space Cadet having a meltdown over some then-recent bans was definitely the main cause.

What about the one where the guy was lying about having his 360 on top of a subwoofer, even though he posted pics. Didn't he try to cover by saying it was a wine cooler or some shit?
EDIT: This is the thread http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106299

The Konami time loop was fucking amazing. I spent hours pouring over the JBaird thread, playing Phoenix Wright music on loop. PossumGAF was also a relatively-recent fun thread. Unfortunately, the marijuana thread (which was about way more than weed) got thrown into the abyss as the result of the Google thing. I really wish someone would have made an archive of it, but there was no way of knowing that it would be deleted before it happened. C'est la vie.

Oh and I totally forgot the "I almost crapped my pants" thread. So many great stories. The funniest thing I've seen on GAF.
