Reading the Lince PSN message thread: damn that's a good thread. Almost better than JBaird in that it's way shorter and has way less people, so you can clearly tell what's happening.

Everything that's wrong with subcommunities also shows up in that people argue that it has to be fake because "Lince wouldn't act like that, I know him" to the fucking end of that thread.

I don't know about historic but, one of the funniest was the thread tt_deeb had made when he was going to have sex and uhh ... didn't know if he got it in or not at first or at all if I remember correctly. Then he got slapped with the awesome "Negative. Negative. It just impacted on the surface." tag. It seems the thread had been a victim of Great Google Purge© :(

I remember reading that thread. People were basically piling on him, waiting to take their shots. "Because of the curve" turned into a meme here for a while and there was no backlash whatsoever in the thread for the way people treated him and no mod has put a stop to it - some even joined in. Maybe the thread did close on a more positive note, I never finished reading it. It was one of GAF's lower points.

And they weren't attacking him for stealing stuff from GAF.

FoxspiritShadow. Meltdown total. He always made long thought out posts like Loki though.. a lot of that style of GAF is gone now. It's people just posting to be the first poster or get some pun off. You get a lot of threads where you enter and it's just aggravating because tons of people didn't click the link or bother reading the OP. It seems they just want to speak so their voice is heard but without anything useful to read. Just a response to whatever is the threat subject title. Which, I guess, is why people want to make the thread titles with as much shock value as possible. Dont' get me wrong, I'm no great shakes myself but I at least try to read the OP/link before contributing to the discussion.

That E3 one where people were invited to a party being sponsored by a company and then ended up with the tab was kinda funny.
