The game is way fun so far. Been playing on and off all day and the time flew by like nothing. Most unproductive day in awhile haha. Rolled with an outlander as well. |

Torchlight won't kill D3, and D3 won't kill Torchlight. They're different games with different features. If you care about playing in a secure environment, you're better off with D3. Torchlight will have very little anti-cheating measures, so it's more for playing with friends or other people you trust. And for people with shitty internet, like me.
I think the backflip alone makes me want to play an Outlander first, but I tend to have a thing for the spell casters. The skills look like a lot of fun to use, the mobility skills in particular, and it's very fast paced. Can't wait to play this. |

I played an hour an hour and got to level 7. It looks and run tremendously well on my shit laptop (ATI 5650) at 1600*900. I chose to play as an outlander because I generally play rogue/ranged types and I'm having a blast! The glance is an absurdly satisfying skill and where I have been putting my early skill points. It's bouncing around and shredding dudes on each throw. Also, I chose the normal difficulty and have only used one potion up to this point. I'd recommend veterans choose hard at the very least.

The pet never dies - when it gets really low on health, it goes into flee mode and runs about the screen like a mad thing. Eventually, hp regens and it goes back to normal. I'm assuming its that way in T2 also.
