Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box

Fifteen hours of puzzling goodness. One of the highlights was leveling up my hamster so he could find any hint coins I missed. I only feel bad that I waited until the end to do so. I ended up solving around 115 puzzles, and one day I'll go back and see if any of the ones I missed are easy enough for me to breeze through. I still have 'Unwound Future' to beat and at some point I plan on picking up 'The Last Specter'. This was my 3rd game in #fromOwn2Pwn. It's turning into a round robin of all my gaming systems.

Azkend

My son would not sleep at all on Tuesday night so I was stuck waiting outside his room for him to quiet down before I could finally go back to bed. Turns out this is a good time to break out the iPhone and grind out some levels in Azkend. The power ups are fun and they allow you to adjust game play to suit your own style. The levels are never more than 90 seconds long so things are always new and moving. I picked it up for free, but I'd recommend it to anyone.

Indigo Prophecy

I've played Heavy Rain so I should have known this game was going to be good, but I put it off for a while. The story is interesting, and two of the characters are great. Tyler Miles is a real drag. There . I'm on chapter 24. I've had to play a fighting mini game to ten points with Tyler, a basketball game to 10 points, and a blatantly racist chapter in a book store.

I cannot stress how bad the basketball mini game was. To make a point you have to have possession of the ball. That means you have to steal the ball from the other npc (one QTE) then score a point (another QTE). The only saving grace is that you keep the ball after you score. It's to ten and my score was 10-6. It's possible to do many QTEs in a row without anyone scoring a point.

World of Warcraft - It's my last week of raiding with my raid team. I am still going to play and be an officer in the guild but with softball starting soon and my wife being due in August with our first child it's time to move on from the raid team. It was a lot of fun for many months but I am starting to get burned out "having" to be there 3 nights a week for near 3 hours a night. I look forward to more sleep and being less tired the next day.

MLB 12: The Show - I am 6 games into my franchise with the White Sox and I love the game. Of course I love baseball so that helps. Also takes away the pain of watching the White Sox struggle for real when I can load it up and play better. I need to adjust the sliders some more as I am hitting to many homers now that I am getting better at the game.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - I have been putting this off due to being busy with work, working out and main time on WoW. I finally got back into it this week and loving it. I am only a level 12 noob but that's because I neglected it since I got it.

EDIT- I forgot to mention Nostolgia on the Nintendo DS. I play that while riding my exercise bike at home. I beat the game but after you beat it you can play on and collect missing world treasures, explorer quests and also several new dungeons.

Those are the main games I have been playing lately. I may look to open another game this weekend from my overly insane backlog but I would be best to finsih up old games I have neglected. I need more time and less busy.

Majesty 2. It's OK, pretty much like the first game with a better interface and revamped visuals. Some missions are infuriating, though, CPU is really aggressive from the very start and it's really hard to establish your base.

Trials Evolution - Trying to Platinum all Hard levels, such an amazing game.
Fez - Still have some cubes left to find...one of the best games of this gen IMO.
Walking Dead - Didn't expected much before playing the demo but this was pretty good...planning to finish the first episode tonight.
Dark Souls - I'm kinda LTTP since I got both the PS3 & 360 LE's at launch (Demon's is my favorite game this gen) but right now I'm ready to finally experience this game...am I ready to die? hell yes. :P

Beat both Binary Domain (PC) and The Witcher 2: EE (PC) this week, both on hard. Excellent games. BD is probably my favorite game so far this year, and having played through both sides of TW2 now, I have an even greater appreciation of the game than I did last year. Might start up a No Mercy playthrough of BD using KB&M, since they've patched up its control issues. We'll see.

i'm really surprised by awesomenauts. i'm not much of a multiplayer gamer and didn't think it would interest me. i got it for free from being a plus member so figured what the hell. turned out i'm really enjoying it. i would have definitely paid 10 bucks. hope it gets support since the publisher went belly up. i also hope it gains a following and isn't impossible to find a game a month from now. think i may get it for xbla also just to give them some money.

Just finished Pocket RPG. Great, little Diablo clone. Best buck I've spent in a while.

Now knee-deep in Waking Mars. Something really special is going to have to come along to knock this thing out of my GotY iOS category. This is one of the coolest adventures I've ever played on any platform.

And I just downloaded the iPhone version of Command & Conquer: Red Alert last night. This is actually my first flirtation with the franchise, and I already think I'm going to like it. Control so far is really good, and the premise and story are great, campy fun.

So yeah, lots of iPhone gaming lately and little else. Rented the 3DS version of Cave Story, but I think I'm Cave Storied out at this point. Still a great game, of course. Also watching my wife play through Ep 1 of Walking Dead.

Hoping to get my Skyrim game started. Quit a few hours in due to hesitance regarding the PS3 bugs, and I've yet to return.

Still playing the hell out of Trials Evolution. I love that game so very much. Just got one of my last Golds on the extreme tournament (less than 150 faults on every extreme track) and have single digit faults on all Extreme tracks save Inferno 3 and Way of the Ninja.

Also working on a 1CC in Mushihimesama Futari Black Label which I recently acquired. I've been bitten by the shmup bug hard, I think.

Binary Domain - Just about a couple hours in, I'm really liking it so far. I like the semi-cheesy vibe.

Pinball Arcade - I can never get enough of on either iOS or 360. Starting to finally get a small handle on Black Hole.

Zelda: Skyward Sword - About 5 hours in, I like the atmosphere, early story, and visual style a lot.

EDIT: I have to say that picture of Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 really makes me want to break that out.

KOFXIII: Still awesome.

Uncharted 2: finished it and holyeffingshitwhatagame. Loved it.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2: Finished it. Didn't like the first and ditched it half way through but this one I really enjoyed all around. In particular I much preferred the locations compared to the first and being able to play with various female characters instead of just that horribly designed dominatrix was a nice touch. The combat in this game felt extremely good. That big sword (Emma's Fang?) was my fave weapon overall. My gripes with the UI and loading from the first were well addressed as well.

Would put it behind Bayonetta as the second best action game made this gen so far, of the one's I played. God Hand is still king in the overall rankings.

Will definitely play again.

Mass Effect 2: Didn't put much time into it, will finish it eventually I guess.

Batman Arkham Asylum: Didn't put much time into this either. Its nice and all but I dunno, even though it has a lot of stuff indivdually these things aren't that great. Like it has both cqc and stealth but both feel very watered down and basic.

Shadows of the Damned: Started this and rather enjoying it so far, extremely heavy on atmosphere. Shooting feels right and the pacing is nice so far. Pretty freaky game though.

Tales of Graces ƒ - Probably halfway through the Future Arc. First foray into the Tales series and I've really enjoyed it. Not sure if I'm going to start a second playthrough right away or not though.

Hyperdimension Neptunia - Just started...seems a bit janky all around but I'll stick with it for awhile

Xenoblade Chronicles - About 5 hours in. Enjoying it so far even though it still feels like I've hardly scratched the surface

Dynasty Warriors 7 (PS3) - I've let a bunch of Musou games pile up in my backlog so I'm starting to tackle them now. Already finished story and conquest on the 360 version, but I think I might actually try to platinum this before moving on to Xtreme Legends.

Dynasty Warriors Next - Same deal as with 7

Finished Binary Domain on Hard. Great game, going to play through it again on No Mercy.

I just started playing Vindictus as well. It's not bad for a F2P MMO, but it's really repetitive and really easy so far. Don't know if I'll put much time into it.

And I'm trying to play at least 1 full credit of Daioujou Black Label each day. I really need to buckle down and play a bunch of credits back to back, because I know I'd hit my target score if I did that, but I'm not very motivated.

I just completed Pandora's Tower 100% so now I'm going to move on/continue with these games.

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door: Playing through this for my first time and enjoying it a lot. I am about 15 hours in on Chapter 4. I definitely like it more than Super Paper Mario, but I'm not sure if I'm digging this one more than the original Paper Mario. The N64 game is TOO perfect and it's a tough game to beat.

Pikmin 2: Playing through this game for my first time as well. I loved the original game, completed a no-death Pikmin run and everything. Going to attempt the same thing in the second game, but I've only played a little bit of it so far. Looking forward to getting further with it.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes: Thinking about doing a second playthrough of this on the higher difficult, going for 100%. I never fully completed this game back in the day and since I'm in a total Nintendo Wii/GC mood, I think I might boot this up.
