Ok guys I will ask a mod to make this a LTTP thread instead!
I will tell you guys how far I've come so far, I'm in stage 2 at the boss fight right now, where you have to defeat Conchita and her dumbass crew lol :p. Man this fight is hard! But I'm having a lot of fun, and I feel I'm pretty good at this game but once you get hit a lot of health goes away, and when you have to fight three bosses at once that's pretty hard. One thing I don't really like is the randomness of the demon spawning, and when you really need some fruit you'll almost never find it lol :p. And sometimes when enemies teleport behind you that sucks ( like the demons ). I've cleared all challenges so far I think, there were three so far right? Also did a couple of missions at the stadium where you can train. This game is amazing and chock full of content :D. What a great buy for only 10 euro's ^^. |

The 3 Stooges are easy in stage 2, it all boils down to dodging their attacks, really. Conchita is the most annoying one with her whip. Have you messed around with your move configs yet? It might be possible to buy some powerful techniques to help you out. I recommend mapping Drunken Fall (if available) on down + X, Highside Kick on X and a strong roundhouse kick on square that can be side dodge canceled.

I'm in the didnt like it camp. The first time I played, I quit not far in, maybe after the second boss? The last time, I quit a lot further in, memory serves, stage 6 or 7.
Just felt too janky. I "got" the difficulty. Got my ass kicked a bit until it registered to actually dodge, and buy decent moves. Game just never clicked. Glad a few people liked it. I wouldnt call it the best action game ever. Bayonetta might not be the best, but certainly better in nearly every category. IMO, ofcourse. |

I think I might like playing Bayonetta more when everything is said and done, but God Hand is definitely the better game right out of the box. In terms of masterpieces, Mikami's is either this or Vanquish.

God Hand is one of those games where if, for some really bizarre reason, it should ever come up in conversation, and anyone else immediately gets the 'I know what the fuck you're talking about' look, you then exchange manly 1980s action movie fist bumps, crush beer cans with your faces, and ride off into the sunset on your hogs
Actually it's better than that |

No shame on selecting Easy to give it another shot. Don't forget to check YT playthroughs to see if people are using certain techniques that could help you out. Of course, we're also here to give advise if you're stuck.

I just put it down, traded it in and never thought about it again because of so many other games that took priority. But I can't tell you how many times I was 'just not feeling' a game, only to return to it at a much later date and end up loving it to death. Kind of why I am thinking of trying it again. |

A brief break-up period can help if you're not feeling a game, it depends on your mood also. You said that you have more patience now, which will definitely help because God Hand isn't a game that you can just pop in and play. It requires plenty of commitment if you want to experience the best that the game has to offer. Plus, it's 10 bucks. It hasn't been tainted by Capcom's usual price greed. :)

I finished it a few months ago and LOVED it, but I wouldn't say it's that hard. Sure, there are some tough fights, and I did rage a bit, but I don't think I ever had to give up and come back to it later, when I've cooled down. I played plenty of much more difficult games.

Just for fun, you guys should save your game, go into the casino, and jump-kick one of the patrons inside. |

So experience is different for different people on the default difficulty

There are games that have harder default challenges than God Hand, yeah. Let's just say that it's a hard game for people who never played harder games before. :) You're not curious trying Hard mode to see how far you can get?

Not really, I rarely play through games multiple times (I have a HUGE backlog), but if I ever do replay it, I'll play it on a harder difficulty. |
