I think that this would actually be good if they gave it to Platinum now. As long as they force them to work on whatever engine Versus is on so they don't nerf the graphics like they did with Rising, it could work. Just look at the hack and slash mechanics in the original trailer, it looks like Platinum could deal with what SE envisioned better than SE.

Probably not at the moment. But they'll get Rising out this year for sure and probably in November, so they should by then.

I wish I didn't care about this game, but frankly, I do. Versus XIII looked cool from the initial trailer and the most recent trailer that came out looked cool as well. But man - 6 years!?!? How the hell can they continue to not show anything like this, the game was revealed a half decade ago. Type-0 for Vita & Versus XIII are all I'm asking for Squenix. I wonder if they're still on track for that FFXIV PS3 Beta this fall......

XIV will be trailer only, as confirmed by Yoshida.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for much else.

That reminds me, the game lost some major style points when they revealed monsters. Should have just been humans and mechs.

Final Fantasy Type-0 though, it's very possible will be there at Sony's stage for VITA/PS3 as HD Remaster. It's another important game that can't skip E3 before launch and can't possibly come later than spring 2013 so, now it's the time to show it.

Of course, I'm pretty confident Type-0 will be there, but I'd say 50% chances only for Versus to be there too.

I see this type of post for years now.First E3,then TGS,then next E3 etc.etc..it goes on and on...

But it's not SE's or Nomura's fault.It's their fans who still have high expectations from them based on the past's long gone glories.
The fact is that today's SE is incapable to produce anything worthwhile within a logical timeframe.The sooner we fans realize this and move on,the better.
