Mother's Day 2012 - Gift Idea Thread

 - It just so happens that I'm lucky enough to have my mom be born around mother's day as well, so I get to kill two birds with multiple stones. - Last year, I got her a bag from Property Of. Athough their bags are supposed to be tailored for men, she loved the one I got her because she could make it an everyday bag without any concerns for its durability. - I've set the expectations fairly high, so now I have to live up to it every year. I was thinking about getting her some really nice shoes, but that seems a bit standard. - Anyway, I made this thread so we can help each other out during this most bewildering time. Moms are the greatest people in the world so we need to make them happy.

Whoa, I almost forgot. Thanks for the reminder!
I'd like to make my own card with some drawings of things she appreciates. Hmm, gonna start doing some sketches and think of what she likes! Oh, and just a while ago my mother was quite enamoured by a female artist who was in a dance show we saw recently.. Karima Nait, that was it, yeeaahh gonna look for a cd of hers! Oh and gonna remind my bro so he also remembers! when is father's day again have I missed that this year or is that later? Very excited, I usually kind of forget :|, so this year I'm gonna do something! Sadly I have important exams the 28th and Mother's day is 27th in Sweden so I can't take her out to eat or so. Also I live in another city. :/ hmm, my brother might be able to though! Will check. edit: Oh, she really enjoys baked goods so I could bake something for her.. Hmm! But I'd have to send it.. And baked goods are usually nicest straight from the oven.. Oh well, maybe some hard cookies? Gonna have to think it over.
