Got myself some Shawarma this morning. Had it with the Jalapeno and Scallion Hummus and some cucumber and tomato mix. THIS STUFF IS DELICIOUS! I now know why THOR was destroying that stuff! Really if you like Turkish/Moroccan/Mediterranean food, you'll love this. Can't wait to buy my wife some (as she loves the three food types above, heck she's the one who got me to try Moroccan.

Just stick with Mamouns; the one on Macdougal. The other stores are ok, but nothing to write home to.

It is. I was just there a few weeks ago and you couldn't piss without hitting two Shawarma joints across the street from one another. I ate at Shawarma Palace, which is the highest-reviewed Shawarma place on Yelp for the city. It was fantastic and the portion size was obscene; great garlic sauce and potatoes as well.
