This shit was already worked out and agreed to. It was always assumed it would be MSS vs MIS. I'm not privy to the specific messages, but it's well known that this is what the agreement was all along.

What happens next is Fanatiq starts hearing about how Ironman might possibly be the real threat on Jokers team and starts jockeying to have the rules changed.

Meanwhile Fanatiq starts talking about stream chats saying he doesn't know if he's gonna be able to make it to Toryuken because he might not be able to come up with enough money.

Regardless of how you word it, Joker added the stipulations after it was accepted. He's altering the money match after the money match has already been accepted and by doing so he's putting fanatiq in an awkward situation. Money matches are not the same as a normal set. It's extremely possible that Joker could of come up with 100% unbeatable tech that Fanatiq will be unable to beat, even if he's a better player, with that exact team.

It makes absolutely no sense for Fanatiq to accept this, considering how fraudulent Joker is being. It's downright sketchy and disrespectful to the nature and legacy of money matches.

I think that's just SJC's overly optimistic expectation. If the numbers are huge now, it should keep climbing and probably hit 400, maybe. But 500, I just can't see that happening, just not yet because FR was so huge and hit 400 for AE and Marvel. I just can't see ECT being bigger, but we'll see. But it wouldn't surprise me if some tournaments hit that number for the top game next year.
