Boy, I hope someone gets fired over this butchery.
Banner is actually a polymath.

And again I bet more than anything they were just asked a question, probably haven't seen the movie, or if they have don't understand why Banner is where he is. This isn't some deep well thought out argument, just two (well 1 really) actors imagining Hollywood purposely showing Indian in a negative light.
Man, if you think this is GAF in "full hate mode"...

Brazil (specifically Cariocas) also complains when people show the favelas.

I understand some Indians being upset, because in a world where people think that everywhere else is a land of hats, it's hard to get people to believe that they won't encounter wall-to-wall poo and child laborers if they ever decide to tour India. Hell, I have a hard enough time with people being upset that I own neither a horse nor a cowboy hat.

That being said, India does sometimes appear to think "out of sight, out of mind" is a sustainable public policy... as do a lot of places where there are large disparities between upper and lower classes. Like, say... Washington DC.

Yeah I was in Thailand when I saw this movie, it looked like they were depicting Thailand of course most in the audience were middle class Thais. I felt a little embarrassed because this is the way American movies depict other countries.
Didn't know it was India.

You should realize that Hollywood does this to most of the US as well. Most of the country to them is "flyover country".

Ding! Ding! Ding! Also, India does have slums. But just because the film shows that, it doesn't imply that India only consists of slums.
