I understand some Indians being upset, because in a world where people think that everywhere else is a land of hats, it's hard to get people to believe that they won't encounter wall-to-wall poo and child laborers if they ever decide to tour India. Hell, I have a hard enough time with people being upset that I own neither a horse nor a cowboy hat. That being said, India does sometimes appear to think "out of sight, out of mind" is a sustainable public policy... as do a lot of places where there are large disparities between upper and lower classes. Like, say... Washington DC. |

Yeah I was in Thailand when I saw this movie, it looked like they were depicting Thailand of course most in the audience were middle class Thais. I felt a little embarrassed because this is the way American movies depict other countries.
Didn't know it was India. |

You should realize that Hollywood does this to most of the US as well. Most of the country to them is "flyover country".
