5 times? That's a long chase, 5 times is like, nothing. There's ample checkpoints. This series didn't even take off until it introduced multiplayer (which is awesome) |

Oh come on. It wasn't that bad. You at least benefitted from Arnie's proactive fix to the wonky aiming. (Dude still needs a raise)
My biggest complaint was the set pieces for set pieces sake and the internet's wankfest over Sully and disdain for the supernatural elements that resulted in both Elena and Chole playing minor roles and an unsatisfying pay off. LSD spiked water was a weak end game plot device when the villians already had that power from the start. U2 is among my favorite games of this gen, but I feel U3 fell just a little short. The Last of US will hopefully be amazing. |

hmm, I loved the first one too, but the second is incredible. Everything is massively improved. Have to agree with a lot of the other posters here, I've played Uncharted 3 one time and was very disappointed. Haven't even put it back in my ps3 since then. I happily replay uncharted 2's singleplayer every few months... |

Anyway yeah while I couldn't put down UC2, UC3 just felt like a chore to play through. I am not sure if it was the game itself or just me getting tired of the Uncharted formula. |

EDIT: And yes, Uncharted MP is some of the most fun MP this generation. |

I really wanted to like the game, but it came off too underwhelming and I was just too disappointed by it. Finished the game, and like others have said, I completely forgot what happened. And since I absolutely hate the online for the series, I haven't touched the game since I finished the story. Whereas for Uncharted 2 I still remember the campaign a bit, and although I hated the final battle, I still remember what happened.
Don't get me wrong, there were some pretty fun levels and level designs, but for the most part I didn't like it nearly as much as the others in the series. At least there wasn't some mystical-snow-monkey-zombie-monster, except for those, what was it, the people with the flaming heads? And those weren't even real! |

You want bad mechanics - try GTA or MGS3 or Monster Hunter if anything - the whole drugged out sequence was awful... how is anyone supposed to play with the screen like that, talk about headache inducing! |

Uncharted 3 is awful.
I did this video on how bad Talbot is written. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wY5OA0QKEFQ |

Weird... y'all aced that young drake chase thing?
There were a few instances where you need to be like split second jumping or something... and I keep on getting 'caught' on stuff, and the men and black suits catches me =/ And I never said gunplay is bad. It just takes a while to get back into it after playing other shooters. Doesn't help that I don't play shooters on ps3 or controller often. |

Yep, much much worse. I enjoyed chapter 2, and then it all fell apart. I loved UC2, but UC3 is one of the worst games I played last year (I don't buy much of anything except big titles, so calling it the worst doesnt mean its terrible. Just the worst game I paid full price for).

Yeah, Uncharted 3 was pretty bad, and i played it before the patch, so the aiming was stupid, and hearing ND say that everything was fine was just too funny.
Crap story, bad gameplay, pretty graphics. But everything just felt disjointed, it's like they went for great set pieces before anything else. |

I played the first multiple times. I played the second, more than the first. I played the third, once. Never played it again.
Something happened with third that I can't explain. I'm still irratated that they didn't include modifires. I don't care what the reasoning is, I loved that with part 2. That and somehow they made Chloe boring. |

U3 starts out good and falters as the game goes on. Rooms of fights with spawn closets get old after a few hours, and the most egregious is a super duper long fight on the tanker thingy that has to be approached in a specific way since the spawn closets are very prevalent, and trying to get your health back behind cover during this section sucks, because of the aforementioned spawn closets.

Plus all the dudes running around in suits with slightly-too-long-arms gave me serious Virtua Cop flashbacks. And Chloe and Elena looked WEIRD. |

I could never get into the third like I did with 2. There was too many long drawn out sections like the young drake, running around drugged, and the desert. I beat the 2nd one a million times but I could never make it through my 2nd play through on the 3rd.

Great graphics and entertaining cutscenes but some of the worst game play of the generation when it comes to the shooting portions. Terrible enemy AI and the same pattern of bad guys over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
Not a bad game by any means, but certainly not the 11/10 most of GAF would have you believe it is. Hell, it's not even as good as UC2. I'd give UC2 a 9.5/10 and UC3 a 7/10.

That video perfectly captures everything I hated about U3's story. The chase sequence we didn't who this guy was for a year plus highlights everything wrong with U3. U2 was amazing for me because the villians were so good.

There weren't any standout GOTY's last year.
Uncharted 3 was awesome but it was basically Uncharted 2 part 2. It didn't advance the series at all, and the multiplayer seemed like they threw too much shit at the wall and none of it really stuck all that well together. The simplicity of UC2 pre-patch felt perfect. |
