Excellent, thank you for doing proper co-op... I wont even wait for a steam sale, it just became Day 1 for me and a friend.
Dev's... put co-op in your games! Forget reasons like "it doesn't fit in the plot" or "cut scenes are weird with 2 people" in it... no one cares! We just want to blast through our favorite games with friends. Let someone in, double the enemy strength, and most people would be quite satisfied with that. Of course, don't let me stop you from putting proper, tuned co-op in your games, that's even better :) |

Sounds good to me, I love me some Dead Space, and this sounds like a great way to allow Co-op without forcing another character to do the journey with you that ruins the atmosphere while also allowing the story to have changes that could include a partner.
Sounds sweet. But the alt-fire change sounds like a strange choice, the point of the Plasma Cutter is its direct pinpoint accuracy for chopping off limbs, taking away the ability to change its angle kinda defeats its point, I would hope this is just wrong information or that weapons now have a secondary alt-fire. |

For their line-up, note that there's only one open slot here that would presumably be Overstrike unless that was pushed out: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost...2&postcount=55

I thought that she was a pretty cool character, so I would've liked to see her return in a bigger role for the third game. |

Many animations are actually rendered and then stored in memory instead of being procedurally done, which can add up and take a lot of space. Next generation we should be a lot better in this department due to excess RAM relative to the size of animation data and a lot more horsepower with which to procedurally animate. |

However damn "the mood", RE5 co-op (with another human) was one of the most fun games I've ever played. They can shovel as much of that at me as they want, because I thought it was superb. |

This actually sounds good.
Co-op is entirely separate from the single player campaign and co-op modifies itself instead of forcing co-op into single player. That's how it should be done if you wanna do co-op. My precious single player remains untouched. Regarding the other things, rolls, cover, certain enemies... I'll wait to see how it's implemented before judging. This game's a horror action shooter, I can deal with those things as long as the story and gameplay are good. DEAD SPACE 3, I AM SO EXCITED! |

I actually know someone who only plays multiplayer games that's considering picking this up to play with me lol
Dead Space was never a survival horror to begin with. It's always been a third-person shooter with horror theming. This isn't going to be like adding coop to Amnesia or something. Dead Space is top tier when it comes to blastin' monsters with badass weapons (seriously, probably the best 3rd person gunplay around). Sounds like a perfect fit for coop. I hope they add a Horde mode too. |

I know if I was in the situation in a crazy suit that had a jet pack built in I would be moving around in any way possible. Which is why they have supposedly built the game around letting you choose to play co-op and that you aren't stuck with someone else if you don't want to be? No? I don't think you guys are actually reading it.

Anyway, this is sounding excellent so far. I probably won't play it co-op, but the enemy encounters are sounding great. |

Hopefully they can pull it off and the choice is there for those that would enjoy co-op DS. |

Visceral Redwood Shores' new IP is on Frostbite 2 though, but I think that's going straight to future consoles. |

There were rumour that most of EA studios are being moved over to Frostbite2, but that seems like a waste of time to me before the third in the series when the current engine runs great on the platforms we currently have and at this point they should know the ins and outs of how to get stuff done. I fully expect any Dead Space games after this one though will be on Frostbite, and hopefully on next-gen systems that can take advantage of it. |

Actually, I may've misinterpreted the co-op bit, I was thinking it was possible they're writing the other character as a possible DELUSION of Isaac's, which could have some real potential for multiplayer especially if they force silence. Imagine that, something akin to Dark Souls except rather than actively summon someone they pop up and pop out with little to no warning. Just another dude being there and shooting things with you, without any delusion angle, would be pretty boring though.

Totally optional co-op is the best kind of co-op. I approve.
Not so sure about the steel walls coming up. Do they mean, like randomly forming arenas to battle enemies? I'm fine with the additional movement options. As long as the enemies can match you, the tension can be maintained. I hope there's some more Dead Space stuff coming to other mediums too, to coincide with DS3. I've enjoyed the comics and the novel. |

I love Dead Space but I mean come on Issac should've moved beyond the hallucinations; I mean honestly isn't that what the final boss battle equated to? Letting go of the guilt and severing the marker's influence. At least that's what I took from it. Playing the hallucination card is just a way to instill those jumpy moments. What Visceral should do is have necromorphs actually attack you while you're crawling in the ventilation shafts. I thought that was a missed opportunity in DS2, to actually fight and fend off necros from both sides while crawling in claustrophobic areas. Anyway glad to see that DS3 is in development but disappointed with the changes to the Plasma Cutter, its synonymous with the DS franchise so it shouldn't be changed. I hope Issac lives and brings the nightmare to an end oh and please divulge more about the marker and its true creators/purpose and explain what is convergence really and why the military and government body want it so badly. Surely not for military applications, it seems we know why the Unitologist extremists want it, every other part motives aren't clearly explained.
