Nearest Best Buy to my house is exactly 26 miles round trip which would be a gallon of gas at roughly $3.50 + potential tax on the card? + 26 miles of additional wear on my car + roughly an hour of my time by the time I get some decent pants on and out the door and 5 minutes with the Best Buy cashier turning down his offers for free magazine subscriptions and Rewards cards, then back inside and resettled and about 15 minutes to enter the XBL 5x5 code = YES.

Sure, but it's Best Buy, and there's plenty of precedent for them to correct the price should they realize the error. But if it is a legit deal and still 15 bucks when I can buy a code off their site, I'd probably do so.

Isn't the 360 version based off the Beta 1.6? That's roughly that last version of the PC version I played, so there's no way I could go back to that.

Not sure how accurate that is since a few people mentioned that they were surprised to either be charged or not charged tax. Might be a bit inconsistent in this case(?)

The game is nothing like i thought it would be, nothing like the PC version and defiantly not like it is hyped up to be.

I doubt it, either they're selling it for less to try to get people into their stores or on their website so they'd buy something else, or maybe they made a deal with MS.
