Seems like the guy is just being himself, no problem with that. I was once in an agreement signing with a very wealthy oil and gas CEO - he wore jeans and a windbreaker with his kid's little league logo on it while we all wore suits. Didn't mean he was disrespecting us as his counsel, he was being himself.
Maybe it's situational at best. |

As long as nobody shoots anyone it's fine. Pachter being Pachter in even non-gaming related things, crazy.

Here is the thing that bothers me most about Patcher and the game media:
They are starstruck by his wealth. Watch Bonus Round, Giant Bomb etc. You will here Patcher referencing his car and fancy cigars and they will literally ask him about the monographs on his suits or expensive Scotch. On the Bonus Round last year, he flashed the monographs n his taylored suits. That literally happened. Go listen to when he was on Giant Bomb last year and pay attention to references to luxury items. Patcher is the rich guy at high school who bought a bunch of journalist buddies because his parents let him have a kegger. Game journalist are poor. As Patch indicates n his quote, investors deserve respect because they have lots of money. Game journalist respect that law. |

Thats not fair and accurate representation of Patcher. He's gained at least 30 pounds and a double chin since that photo ws taken.
If that seems like a cheap shot, so is calling someone "immature" for the clothes they choose to wear. I can't think of a more vapid form of criticism. Honestly, I don't know how you could make a more shallow judgement. |

Couldn't putting on suits be considered immature? I mean you dress up for no real reason other than tradition and to flaunt status. "Dressing nice" only has a psychological reaction in peoples' expectations because they've been told that's what they should expect. Really, judging anyone just by what they wear is a fallacy.

Zuckerberg's fashion isn't a mark of immaturity. It's a mark of being trapped in a 2001 Value Village.
