May as well say "I like guns" to me. You're basically writing it off with very little info on hand. Literally this is a VERY small team, less than a dozen I believe. You think that's putting a dent in their staff of over 200+? Some of you need a SERIOUS reality check. |

I don't see any problem with Insomniac assigning a few people to do a Facebook game, something that will be accessible to hundreds of millions of people all over the world. It has no bearing on the development of console titles.
I have no desire to ever play it though because I don't use Facebook for gaming at all, nor do I have the desire to ever do so. |

Firstly, we don't call them Click anymore. A lot has changed in the industry since last year, as well as in our studio. After some discussion, we concluded that every game we make – regardless of the platform and audience it’s intended for – should be under the Insomniac Games umbrella.
And I think its around 15 folks now +/- support from some other folks, art, community, network etc |

Eh. Going by the art style and the look of the game, it looks like it could be fun, and good for what it is. I still won't play it though, as I don't want to have games and unnecessary apps cluttering up my Facebook feed/profile.

It's a facebook game, it won't have a full engaging story, and it isn't Ratchet and Clank :P That's enough information to write it off for me (Also, Overstrike looks terrible but that's something completely different) |

All you've really said is that you one of those gamers. The reactions here are knee jerk and embarrassing, and honestly make everyone look like petulant foot stomping children. It's cool to say this isn't your thing, but calling it shit or saying Insomniac is going down the crapper? Fucking L.O.L. |

like i said as well, for a facebook game this actually looks pretty decent! a shame i hate facebook and everything it stands for and i sometimes see the games my gf plays on there firsthand and apparently she picks the "good" ones, so yeah as a "hardcore" gamer that's been gaming nearly 25 years now i think i have acquired enough of a taste for the medium to know what is for me and what is not! FB games are just not the type of games i dig, others might, more power to them!
That said, i realise that this game seems to be some side thing and they aren't putting all their resources into this obviously.. they are still developing bigger consoles games simultaneously clearly, but even those i feel are no longer the type of experience that Insomniac once stood for! This FB game and the latest Ratchet (all 4 one) are indication enough that they seem to be headed into the direction of "social" gaming which does not interest a lot of older gamers that have been used to other, more personal types of experiences! That is not to say that they might not make a comeback and deliver some awesome great single player game that will make us remember their glory days, if so then i will be the first to buy it! just not feeling them right now is all... |

I wish them to sell millions of these(not sure how it works over at FB - don't have it) and make more money then ever. But this is not the Insomanic I grew up knowing since PS1 days. My second favorite developer for over a decade turned into something not for me.
Let's hope Overstrike is something special but I am not holding my breath. |

You can tell by looking at it that it has low production values. I can already feel the shitty physics and controls. The isometric view looks forced and horrible. Facebook games meant to make a profit aren't successful if they're fun, because Facebook games that are fun piss people off when you have to pay to continue playing. This is going to be an endless carrot-on-a-stick shit flash game. |

Jesus you guys are getting bent out of shape. Games like this aren't really for us (not to say they can't be fun), no need to throw a fit over it. It's not like Insomniac is abandoning everything else.
Other people like a different kind of games. My gf won't play "real" games, but will play castleville all day long. |

But that's me. I play games guys, this is a good game. I'm proud of what the team has accomplished, and I think if you give it a shot, you'll see there its lots to like. But plenty more later today as press stuff hits and on the Full Moon Show tomorrow |

Art style looks really good. Really gives me Ratchet vibes. Would definitely play it if it weren't on facebook. I don't really use FB account so I don't want to spam my "friends". Maybe I should make a new account just for this. :P
Hell yes! FMS is the first podcast I listened, got in at Tools of Destruction episodes to be more exact. Been waiting for new episodes for quite some time. |

You sure? :P It just feels like a bunch of snobby gamers who are too "high brow" (laughing my ass off at this) to enjoy something as "feeble" as a Facebook game. This thread literally reads like most of these people feel this is "beneath" them.

It's the same people that come into Nintendo threads and beg for the developers to stop making "kiddie" titles. |

Actually, I think it would be a great idea for more big studios like Insomniac to make some smaller games like that betwenn their usuaul big AAA games. It would be a nice way to let their people work on something else than another sequel of their big selling franchise. It must be annoying to work on Ratchet after 7 or 8 episodes for exemple. It would be a way to cash in some money if their big game gets delayed, to try new idea that could be implemented in their next AAA games, etc...

Insomniac forced to make FB games for EA. I am about to fucking break something. Who do I call to make people disappear?
Sometimes things like this cut deep, you can't explain that... |

we weren't forced to do anything, we WANTED to. One of Insomniac's original founders is super passionate about this, go back and read his blogs on it. We made the FB game we would want to play (and I am playing it pretty heavily).

Oh good, I just don't trust EA at all based on what seemingly always happens once companies partner with them. Not a big fan of FB as a platform but good luck to the whole team. I suppose they needs something to do as this generation begins closing up.

1) "Better" is 100% subjective. You're welcome. 2) If you think all Facebook games are like FarmVille, you're sorely mistaken.
