I managed to get on it on my PC, although I probably managed to get on the site in the first 10 minutes it was up.

Although I didn't sign up. There's a question there that asked "Have you ever made and published a level in LBP?", and then I realized, even though I own both games on the PS3, I've never actually published a level. I'm probably not the best beta tester for this one. :P

Yes!
I want it so badly!

I managed to submit via PC, just copypaste the link and retry to reload a couple of times... quite strange but in the end works

I own a Vita and am very much a LittleBigPlanet acolyte, so this is a no-brainer I guess. With LBP Karting on the way too it's a good time to be a fan of the franchise.

After pretty much half an hour of refreshing the EU page every time it timed out, I'm giving up for now.
It's obviously not meant to be.

LBP PSP wasn't exactly the best port of the LBP experience though - I did enjoy playing the game and finished it once through, but it was nowhere near as good as LBP 1 and 2.

LBP Vita seems like it's going to be LBP2 running on the Vita, and I think I remember some previews saying the touch controls were a sensible addition and really added to the game - particularly in creating levels.

from the trailer, it add a shitload of stuff not on lbp2, I think this is really more LBP3 than LBP2expansion.

let me try to find that trailer again, really good trailer. one of the reason that seals the deal to buy a vita for me.

I agree, the touchscreen controls alone will add a lot to the experience. I've only played the PSP version a bit, and it looked kind of rough compared to the console version, but the Vita should do a lot better in that regard. This could potentially be my go-to LBP game in the future.

Especially when one considers that the mini-games the community could make lend themselves very well to pick-up and play gaming that suits a handheld, but can also make deeper levels for when you have more time to play. I'm betting on a lot of iOS/Android app rip-offs.

This is one of the most exciting elements, I think. It could emulate the mobile-style games perfectly. An endless amount of mini-games delivered to your Vita. Yes please.

Playing LBP at a Vita Hill event is what sold me on the Vita, so I signed up for this asap.

Considering the diversity of inputs the Vita has and how creative some people can get with Little Big Planet, this is going to be great.

Was it closer to LBP 2 than LBP? Did it have a lot more options when it came to the type of game you wanted to create?

I'm afraid I only got to play a few levels, good doctor, but I can tell you that they were very diverse. One was a straight up LBP2 styled platformer that used touch and gyro controls very well (the back touch stuff was the best). One other level was a two player game that was a mix between soccer and chess. The last was in the vein of Peggle where you used the touch screen to change the path of falling objects.

I had to repeat this step a few times before it changed from 'You don't have permission to view this page" to "LittleBigPlanet Beta Sign-Up". Once the page loads up it takes about 10 seconds to check a few boxes and you're done.
