Edit: Was kinda an off topic post, I hope this game is good and gets localized, need a new (good) tales game. Can't replay Symphonia and Vesperia forever.

I'm pretty sure it's not a main Tales game.... there is just no way because Xillia was released last fall, they need at less plus a year for another one.

Maybe it's a spin off?

They have multiple teams working on these things at the same time. The odds of a new mothership Tales this year are fairly high.

I wouldn't call Tales of Graces f a leftover localization. Heck the west got the "enhanced" version of a Tales title for once (unlike Vesperia or even Symphonia).

It still did around 300-350k Japan. Namco really should've just gone day-and-date multi with Tales after that, at least for those earmarked with western releases in mind (Abyss PS2/GC, Vesperia 360/PS3, Graces Wii/360/PS3).

Wait, what makes a Tales game a "main" Tales game? Home console rather than portable?

Also fingers crossed for Phantasia HD with hand painted backgrounds intact. ;_;

I remember this name popping up too now that you mention it.

"Mothership" is just a label Namco puts on the games they consider to be the main titles. Hearts was "mothership" and it was on DS.

Namco specifically states whether a game is a mothership title or an escort title. Platform doesn't matter, there are mothership titles on DS (Innocence, Hearts).

They did announce back in November that Tales team is no longer exist and they got absorbed by NB.... so I'm a little confused by who are making Tales game now!

and If they are going to be at the same level of quality!

Har har, Innocence a "mothership" title.

I'd be more inclined to agree with Hearts though.

Tales of Symphonia 2.

YES, I said Tales of Symphonia 2, dammit!

Don't Google Search that!...
Yeah, you...don't show me that thing that doesn't exist with a lead that may or may not be named Emil!

A Tales of Symphonia sequel has NOT been made and I would like it to be made.

Tales of Hearts R on Vita is pretty much confirmed at this point.

My predictions:
- Tales of Vs 2 for PSP or 3DS (lolz)
- Tales of Symphonia 3DS
- Tales of Phantasia Vita in full 3D

Nice news. I can never get enough of Tales. But I can get enough of the long wait and begging to localize...

I wonder how the absorption of Tales Studio will affect the game. It would be interesting if it were a little bit like Legendia (which was made by completely different people).

Floweria is likely Graces. The trademark came out at the same time, it would make sense if Graces were called that (Sophie was found on a flower field and named after a flower), and I sometimes call Graces "Floweria" for fun.

A port of Symphonia? What even? Thats like the one that everyone played, why would they consider that.

Regardless cant wait to see this next Tales game. Graces F and Abyss 3D got me pumped for the franchise and jrpgs in general.

Unsure of what they'll call the next mothership game considering there hasn't been a bunch of new trademarks of Tales of something recently.

I do expect something on the PSP, Hearts R and of course Xillia DC!

I also expect none of them to be brought over.

It seems Namco (or Baba at least) understand the fact that heavy marketing and promotion is required to increase Tales presence in western markets.

Probably an R game (like Tales of Hearts R)? I expect something for Vita at least. I can see them releasing something that's associated with Xillia (the DX, probably).

If you notice, all the Tales of ____ games have a unique first letter for ______ (I could be wrong though). Of course that doesn't count direct sequels or spinoffs.

See: Abyss, Destiny, Eternia, Graces, Hearts, Innocence, Legendia, Phantasia, Rebirth, Symphonia, Vesperia, Xillia.

So yeah, Tales of DLCia is not possible of course i know you're kidding. :p

It's amazing that the price of Xillia is much lower than Vesperia, which is several years old. Graces is more expensive than Xillia too. But that's just Amazon.

Actually, it isn't surprising when you think about it given that people in general didn't like Xillia. (I like Xillia, but it's flawed.)

Still surprised that Vesperia didn't go budget yet.

Aw darn, I didn't think of that. But they need to advertise that they're making all of the costumes DLC now. It might not even be like Xillia with its 4 in-game costumes. Maybe they may take a few notes from FFXIII-2 and make the minigames and the entire Coliseum bit DLC too.

I guess Tales of Re-releases is out of the question too, isn't it? :P

Sorry. Being snarky. The name "Xillia" was out of left-field, so who knows?

Oh god please no.

i have no need for dlc battles i want my content on the disc ... Please whore out the game with attachment items for the character ( vesperia Style ) or even with costumes i don't care , but not the battles

I can choose my costumes but for tales i won't be able choose battles ..please don't go this route namco...

Even in Japan it was kinda special for being the first serious effort at a 3D Tales, having a really expansive story, cast, and world, and featuring lots of optional content that encouraged you to explore and do multiple playthroughs (such as the large number of skits, the character relationship system, and a grade shop that wasn't brutally unforgiving like Destiny 2's).

Probably "resource management." That's been the typical response to it. Not really a pro/con argument though.

That or CC is more rewarding to player skill (or, rather, the worse you do, the harder CC is on you).

As far as I know, we still don't have a localization confirmation. Or even a rumor, really.
