They have multiple teams working on these things at the same time. The odds of a new mothership Tales this year are fairly high.

It still did around 300-350k Japan. Namco really should've just gone day-and-date multi with Tales after that, at least for those earmarked with western releases in mind (Abyss PS2/GC, Vesperia 360/PS3, Graces Wii/360/PS3).

"Mothership" is just a label Namco puts on the games they consider to be the main titles. Hearts was "mothership" and it was on DS. |

Tales of Symphonia 2.
YES, I said Tales of Symphonia 2, dammit! Don't Google Search that!... Yeah, you...don't show me that thing that doesn't exist with a lead that may or may not be named Emil! A Tales of Symphonia sequel has NOT been made and I would like it to be made.

Nice news. I can never get enough of Tales. But I can get enough of the long wait and begging to localize...
I wonder how the absorption of Tales Studio will affect the game. It would be interesting if it were a little bit like Legendia (which was made by completely different people). Floweria is likely Graces. The trademark came out at the same time, it would make sense if Graces were called that (Sophie was found on a flower field and named after a flower), and I sometimes call Graces "Floweria" for fun. |

You are in for a treat.
It seems Namco (or Baba at least) understand the fact that heavy marketing and promotion is required to increase Tales presence in western markets. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8Soo...eature=g-all-u Skip to 2:50. |

If you notice, all the Tales of ____ games have a unique first letter for ______ (I could be wrong though). Of course that doesn't count direct sequels or spinoffs.
See: Abyss, Destiny, Eternia, Graces, Hearts, Innocence, Legendia, Phantasia, Rebirth, Symphonia, Vesperia, Xillia. So yeah, Tales of DLCia is not possible of course i know you're kidding. :p |

Actually, it isn't surprising when you think about it given that people in general didn't like Xillia. (I like Xillia, but it's flawed.) Still surprised that Vesperia didn't go budget yet.

Even in Japan it was kinda special for being the first serious effort at a 3D Tales, having a really expansive story, cast, and world, and featuring lots of optional content that encouraged you to explore and do multiple playthroughs (such as the large number of skits, the character relationship system, and a grade shop that wasn't brutally unforgiving like Destiny 2's).

I thought this already got a Western release confirmation, no? Or am I just mixing-up otaku dreams with reality?
Anyway, I'd be pretty happy if the next mainline game is either on the PS3 or 3DS. (Also if it's done by the people that did Symphonia or Vesperia.) |

That or CC is more rewarding to player skill (or, rather, the worse you do, the harder CC is on you). As far as I know, we still don't have a localization confirmation. Or even a rumor, really. |
