Yes, well, Tales will never have anything like that. Tales games will always have two characters who are afraid to say anything to each other and expects the other to be a mind reader. And when someone hints that one might have feelings for the other, one of them will go "WHAT!! DON'T BE RIDICULOUS/!!/" and hurt the other's feelings. This will repeat over and over and nothing will ever develop further because they're children.

They're all like that? I've only played the ones that hit the US.

Oh I definitely agree but we were just talking about female characters. The game itself even knew it was bad because when you skip the cutscenes it gives you a summary of what happened.

I don't know which I would consider my favorite Tales female, but I probably liked Sheena, Raine, and Judith more than Sophie. Probably Tear too (been a while since I've played Abyss, however).

You get odd amalgamations of her (Colette's) JP and US name when people try to spell hers, like "Colett" or "Collete". It's weird.

EDIT: Come to think of it, Lloyd's name gets pretty jacked up on the internet too. Guess it's a Symphonia thing.

He also commented on the the recent closure of Tales Studio. The studio's staff moved into Namco Bandai. He believes this change will have some positive effects, as members of the Tales team can move to the Idolmaster team, and members of the Soul Calibur and Taiko Drum Master teams come to the Tales team.

I don't see this as a good thing, as much as I like Legendia.
That's one of the things I was afraid of when Tales Studio got absorbed.

I think it's because there are a couple "legitimate" variations to the name "Colette". A lot of people probably won't see or type Collette or Collete and think it's wrong unless they're second-guessing it.

Karol was actually pretty good as a character, voice aside (in JP, I didn't mind his US voice). They actually cared to make him grow and is one of the only characters who actually learns from what Yuri is trying to teach (since let's face it, Yuri pretty much schools everyone throughout that game at some point) and starts being able to do the things they should be doing (Sodia being the other notable in this case).

I liked all of Vesperia's cast (even Rita's annoying ass after she calmed down), but I was always disappointed in what could have been with Raven. I honestly wish that after the reveal he'd stopped kidding around as much and just started acting and fighting like Schwann, he was such a damn boss. A "Change Style III" where he used his sword would have been AMAZING. :(

Anise is just easier to spell due to a lack of variations for that name.

Admittedly, Karol is probably one of the better characters in Vesperia due to his development (ie: acknowledging his failures and initial cowardice), and learning from Yuri's example. But I think the JP voice makes his situation prior to his revelations and development not very engaging.

After hearing some videos of Karol's English voice, I find that one much preferable to his JP voice.

Meh. It wasn't forced comic relief like with Colette. It was just a set up to her changing her outfit. Though honestly, I'd rather that play outfit had been her default instead.
