Questions were still kinda meh, but there are some interesting tidbits. It does seem that Xillia will be localized (someday). And apparently Abyss and Graces F were promoted... somewhere...

I did see posters of both at gamestop a while back.

It sucks cause you can see he really wants the series to do good outside Japan but, for U.S. it's just so hard to do when sports and shooters are whats most popular out here. In EU it's a balance of sports fans and RPG fans alike.

I haven't seen a push in advertising for the Tales series since Legendia in NA. What exactly does he expect to happen? Word of mouth?

But we’re always looking for ways to make the process more efficient and bring the launch dates closer together.

Finally, there’s this.

[shows Tales of Xillia-themed pillow]
What ... exactly does a pillow have to do with bridging the localization gap?

Does this somehow make infinitely more sense if I can see the pillow?

I know it could use a better push with ads and such but, I figure Namco doesn't want to waist money on it cause they see no point. Japan is much smaller than America and EU so it's so much easier to push and sell with little to no effort because it's so well known. Like out here Call of Duty will make one ad to air on TV and pre orders are through the roof because it's a yearly thing that millions of people know about. I just don't want RPG's going the way of Star Ocean 4 appeal and changing the art style to try to appeal to the U.S.

Namco already tried that with Tales of Hearts. It failed terribly.

Except while trying to appeal to the US, they forgot to make the game available there.

Activision spends around $100 million in marketing for each CoD title. I am not sure your comparison is accurate.

They chose to do so because they have a front to keep as the best provider of a shooter franchise in there eyes. They could spend 1 Million in advertisements and still sell a butt load because they have made there imprint in the gaming world. Word of mouth will actually move that game. People will go for the game all there friends will be playing. Sadly Tales doesn't have that luxury.
