Why is it taboo to compliment a woman on her breasts?
#1
Hmmm?
I have been able to do it once. I just straight up told her: "Please do not take this the wrong way, but you have beautiful breasts!" She blushed, smiled and said thank you. I know lady-gaf might find this thread very offensive, but I am not trying to insult you. I can pretty much compliment a woman on anything, but when it gets to that the creep alarm goes off. help me-help you! |

I think they would be flattered depending how you tell her and in what context.

"Excuse me miss, I just couldn't help but notice how amazing your breasts are! I've been studying breasts for quite a long time and yours are inrapturous in their perfection! I've not been able to take my eyes off them for quite some time!"
I don't see a problem. |

"I don't mean to be rude, but you have amazing breasts and I know you've gone to great lengths to cover them up, but I'm picturing your nipples right now and imagining pinching them between my thumb and forefinger and breathing hotly onto the back of your neck. Don't take this the wrong way."

When I was around 13-14 years old, I was on a lazy river at a water park. This guy came up to me and told me that if I don't stop looking at his girlfriend's boobs he would take me out of the pool, light me on fire and cut me in half. My slightly older brother was there and we assured him that I did no such thing. I was traumatized at the end of the conversation and my brother was probably moreso. He started crying after the guy left and I was sick to my stomach. After we got out of the pool my brother asked me if I WAS looking at her and I swore my life that I wasn't. That is why I would not compliment someone on their boobs.
BTW I lied. I was totally looking at them for probably around five minutes straight. |

Unwanted sexual advances are uncomfortable. Breasts are the most sexual body part typically "on show" when you're out and about, so any comment on them by a stranger will (depending on the context) be viewed as a serious breach of good taste and decency.
Basically, it's like saying to a woman out loud that you've been ogling her breasts and that (if you're a straight male) this excites you sexually. Whether this is true or not and whether the woman in question craves this kind of attention, saying it out loud makes it look like something is wrong with you. |

It's only ok if you're complementing your significant other, or if you're pulling "cocky mode" when you're hitting on a girl (and you do it under the pretense of being a rascal/joker).
I could see some women being ok with it, but it's not worth the potential backlash. It's one of those unspoken things. Women with a nice rack (who show it off) know they have it, and they know men notice it. Best to just leave it unsaid 99% of the time. |

Do that to a lady that doesn't get much attention: got a shot at not being offended
Do that to a lady that gets constant attention and stared at all the time by weirdos just like you: not a chance And prefer to call them mammorial protrusions ala Frank Zappa. I don't care if mammorial is not a word, it should be and it's hilarious. |

"You might not have noticed my lady, but for the past 30 minutes I have been trying to imagine a more perfect set of breasts then those on your chest. I must confess that I failed to do so. The milk from those breasts must be as sweet as honey and could cure any man of any malaise that would be afflicting him."

I think it's because it's too overtly sexual, comes across a sleazy. To comment on her eyes or something is cool, to comment on her breasts implies sexual thought.
I told a random female shop assistant the other day that she had beautiful smile. She blushed, glanced away, and bit her lip slightly. I think she appreciated it, I got a very shy "thank you" and another flash of her smile. Everybody wins! She had a kickass rack too by the way. ;P |
