I've made the code changes I was planning to do, probably next weekend I'll start plugging in the suggestions and take what I can from other cards.
New features: Text and images can coexist in a single card, and (the bit I'm most pleased about!) the card should be balanced. Approximately.

I think that card raises an interesting question: If one of the console makers has an anti-used-games system, would we find out about it at E3? I'm pretty sure we wouldn't hear it at the press conference, at least.
Edit: Hmmm. Unless, I guess, it's in the form of a feature consumers might like, just one that means they'd have to keep the game. Not that I can think of one off the top of my head.

The approximately balanced cards I came up with for my generator, if people want to use them as a guideline for laying out their own:
EASY: Code:
Medium Easy Easy Medium Medium Easy Easy Medium Medium Medium Easy Medium FREE Medium Easy Medium Medium Medium Easy Easy Medium Medium Easy Easy Medium Code:
Medium Stinker Easy Easy Easy Easy Easy Medium Hard Hard Medium Easy FREE Medium Hard Medium Medium Medium Hard Easy Hard Easy Hard Easy Medium |

There's really only one thing for this current E3 that has a slim chance of showing up, but will also make the whole event totally worth it: Super Mario Wii-U.
At first I didn't that would be a possibility since 3D Land came out a couple months ago, but then I realized that Super Mario Galaxy 2 was completed in Spring of 2010. It's been almost exactly 2 years since then. And since the EAD Tokyo has supposedly 2 teams (presumably one for handhelds and the other for consoles), it's quite possible that they may be far along enough to have a demo available at E3. Course, the problem is that many people in the Galaxy team worked on 3DLand, so it's hard to say how much time was devoted to SMWii- U. What in God's name makes you think there's even infinitesimal chance that a new Zelda will be shown considering SS was JUST released last year? |
