Revolution: :O Looks pretty damn awesome. Looks like it has a huge budget (which reminds me of Terra Nova in that respect, although it doesn't look like they raided the local Ikea store for set ideas); environments remind me of Enslaved (which is one of the only good things about that game) meets the Hunger Games. Cool logo too.

I did get some Event and Flashforward vibes though...

Chicago Fire: Is Jesse Spencer supposed to be an American? Cause you can hear his Australian accent coming through every time he opens his mouth...:/ lol Anyway, the two clips looked decent although I would have preferred a full trailer. If nothing else it'll meet my hot men quota for the fall.

Go On: Neither clip was very funny, although "March Sadness" was sort of clever. (and O_O @ the Everybody Hates Chris dude!)

The New Normal: Ryan Murphy gets another hour long soapbox. hooray. "HEY GUYS WE'RE GAY AND UNTRADITIONAL AND WE'RE CAPABLE OF LOVING CHILDREN TOO!" Lawwwd could if get any more heavy handed?

Animal Practice: Both clips looks like total shit. Just horrible. This season's Whitney or Outsourced?

Guys with Kids: The end of the "What Babysitter?" video was sorta funny, but the rest of the stuff didn't look very good and wasn't funny at all. Meh.

Do No Harm: Meeeeh.

Infamous: Could be interesting. Two clips isn't enough it really get a feel for anything. (also Nina from Cousin Skeeter is the lead?! :O)

Next Caller: Meeeeh.

Save Me: Looks pretty decent. I'm rooting for it so it better be good!

Saving Hope: Meeeeh.

1600 Pen: Neither clip was funny and both were very boring overall.

All of these shows would have benefited from full trailers.

I like the how the trailer is the entire pilot :p

Still, what a wonderfully cut trailer. Looks fantastic. The scene on the highway looks incredible, I'd love to see how they did that. And post-The Voice? You guys just got a second season.

Revolution looked great (also thought Enslaved with the overgrown modern environments). Nothing else really did anything for me. Would rather have trailers than clips though.

That's the other problem, most of the dramas only had clips instead of trailers. Same with the comedies.

I keep hearing great things about Save Me. That 1600 Penn clip looked fantastic. I'm gonna make a new thread once Rules of Engagement's fate is determined to pool all of the information together.

Yeah it is hard to make much of the clips. I really want to see The Following. I hope that has a trailer.

Also a new thread would be good I think.

I mean, in terms of action/scope/ambition I thought it looked pretty good. Acting/writing is still a mystery obviously. It could be good.

Asked girlfriend to rate trailers for the 2012-2013 NBC lineup out of 5:
The New Normal - 2
Revolution - 2.5
Go On - 3
Animal Practice - 2.5
Guys with Kids - 2.5
Chicago Fire - N/A "You couldn't tell anything about the show"
Do No Harm - 4.0 "I really like the title card with the face split in half"
Save Me - 2.5
1600 Penn - 4.0
Next Caller - 3.0
Infamous - 2.0 "Even the title card looks like Revenge"

Incredible scope, great production values, good pedigree, and a great cast. Well cut trailer that has a great level of intrigue and action, especially for a pilot. That's everyone is talking about.

I think Revolution will pilot well, I'm a lot more skeptical of it actually ending up being a good show. If we're lucky it'll join the ranks of Jericho, Jeremiah, and Dark Angel in the "good not great two season action-mystery post-collapse speculative fiction" hall of fame.

I couldn't disagree more with pretty much all of that. I like Eric Kripke but unless the reviews are completely rapturous I can't imagine tuning in after that hokey trailer. It looked like Flash Forward/The Event 2.0.

I haven't seen the final pilot, but the script had enough seeds for a show that I'm not worried. At its very core, it's a "found family on the road" story, which is close enough to old-school Supernatural that I'm excited.

By my count there are 13 new series that involve some variant of a cop, lawyer, detective, or doctor in addition to 20 returning series that fit that description. So 33 series across 5 networks covering what is essentially salted earth. Let's hope all 33 have pleasant enough theme gimmicks to sustain their truly tired subject matter. LOL

Go On strikes me as another spin on the sort of thing Community first piloted as: a found family centered on the cynical white male lead. (off the top of my head, anyways, the only other show I can think of with that kind of formula was Dear John, also about a support group.)

Guys with Kids just looks wretched.

I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic stuff so Revolution looks really good. Is Giancarlo Esposito in everything now?

Sad thing is, I'm more inclined to give new shows on NBC a try because they have a better chance of surviving if the ratings aren't spectacular.

Not enormously interested in any of the NBC stuff. Revolution could be great, mediocre, or terrible. I'll probably watch it but I'd be just as glad to not be watching anything on NBC next year. More interested in seeing what comes out of other networks.

I have to say that I'm disappointed that there wasn't a trailer or even a clip for Hannibal. With Bryan Fuller behind it, it'll most likely be one of (if not) the best new series NBC has in the pipeline.

NBC Promo cut a good trailer for us, but it's basically a summary of the pilot. I was shocked to see how much they spoiled. If Kripke assembles a good group of writers, it has the potential to be a really fun series.

I pretty much only look at Network TV for comedies, and NBC happens to be setting theirs in environments i'm invested in (Sportscaster! Sattelite Radio!) Oh, and i'm down for that Mr.Hyde adaption too (although would it kill someone to make a Mr.Hyde adaption with something other than white people? I ain't trying to turn this into a whole "Girls" discussion, but damn I think that'd freshen up the concept.)

I have some major reservations about Go On, though.

So far, I've only seen Arrow (complete piece of shit besides an incredible work out scene with Stephen Amell) and Friday Night Dinner (also a POS, didn't get picked up). Hopefully I can get some more soon.

For the most part, I'm excited (based on their scripts) for Revolution, Do No Harm, The Following, Nashville, Red Widow, Zero Hour, Vegas, Golden Boy, and First Cut (you can't really go off scripts for comedy, so jury's out).

Last Resort is a big question mark. Really didn't like the script and I heard it didn't turn out well. We'll see.

Revolution is doomed to be cancelled (expensive and on NBC) and Do No Harm seems to be a weird mash of Dexter and House. Do No Harm seems to be a show Childrens Hospital would parody. I hope I am wrong.

Really liked the Revolution trailer. Hard to make much of the clips for the other shows.

Can't wait to see something on The Following. Sounds the best based on description/creator I think. Hope we get a trailer tomorrow. Not sure what others. Cult maybe? Hard to make much of some of these without more to go on.

Hm...

Just about all the shows I love are returning, so I'm happy about that. As for new stuff, the following intrigues me:

Do No Harm might be interesting, though I've got a feeling it'll go the way of Awake or Journeyman.

The Following sounds interesting. Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy are great actors. But the cult of serial killers thing sounds like a rip-off of Red John from the Mentalist.

666 Park Ave sounds interesting. Terry O'Quinn's in it, so I'll check it out for him.

Zero Hour sounds interesting. I'm a sucker for conspiracies.

Cult sounds like it could be fun. Robert Knepper's the villain in it. He was probably the most compelling part of Prison Break along with William Fichtner. He's a great actor, so I'm watching it for him.

Those are the only shows that I find interesting based on the concept. I haven't seen any trailers or anything else on them till... right now. Except for Cult, I knew about that one before. Comedies for me generally could go either way, and none of the new ones sound that interesting, but if I hear good things I'll take a look.
