If You Could Have Any Superpower...
#1
What would it be and what would you do with it?
I imagine I'd go for telekinesis. It would be useful for so many things, and I'd basically feel like a badass as I manipulate things without touching them. I could even help with containing materials that are as of now uncontainable. And of course I'd use it to fight crime every now and then - who wouldn't? |

It's rare among superpowers in a few ways, in that it has many uses. Straight-up transportation would never be an issue and you don't even have the effort of having to fly. You could save other people from dangerous situations with it. It would make you pretty much unstoppable in combat (think X2's opening sequence and not motherfucking Will.i.am in Wolverine). And it's a pretty perfect reflex-lifesaver, if say you fall off of something tall or a car is coming toward you. |

Teleportation seems like the right choice.

Might as well wish for more wishes as well.
Whaaaa? You're crazy! :D Teleportation is at least twice as cool as super-speed. You'll always get there faster, and you'll always just appear. Nobody sees you coming. |

Personally, I'd want Spidey's powers. Not insanely overpowered. Just enough over powered. |

Super speed kind of seems like a bad idea. Think about it. If you could travel around the planet in an hour wouldn't you feel Earth was too small for you? Already what takes an ant an hour to walk might take you a few minutes. Eventually you'd just get bored with Earth.
Also manipulating time is freaking scary. Too much potential to fuck stuff up. What if time freezing is not you holding time but rather you shutting off the switch? What happens when you die and everyone's frozen forever? That's pretty fucked up.

Whatever Franklin Richards has.

That should cover pretty much everything. edit: For a "simpler" power I'd go with regenerative healing factor like wolverine or deapool. I'll be able to survive gun shots, no disease or poison can kill me and I'll always be at my prime physically. Not to mention that it will make me stronger, have better stamina etc.

PK/TK or time manipulation are the good answers, but the latter would likely drive myself insane. I'd start by fixing big things, then just keep redoing any small thing I messed up. It would be interesting to read others' thoughts, but one would probably get burned early on and become bitter.

Healing. The ability to heal others and myself. With that kind of power I could help people and constantly renew my own body to live extra long (and still have the option of dying 'naturally' if I decided that forever is too long). Just thinking of all that extra time to read books makes me happy. :D
That or TK. You could do cool shit AND fly with that. |

They wouldn't even notice, which is also a scary thought.

I agree that teleporation is better overall, but sometimes you'd want people to see you performing crazy feats. That seems like half the fun of a superpower, being able to brag and show it off.

I'll co-sign this. If I were in the DC universe, speedforce; any other fictional universe or irl I'd go with mastery of magnetism.

That's when you teleport into like the middle of a sports game, or onto the stage of a live TV show. Remember, no matter how fast you run, you can't just run through a wall or door...unless you also have super strength or something.
