Yes, I've read quite a lot of The Incredible Hulk, and I've seen the last two movies. Ruffalo came off kind of like he was half crazy. And I suppose that made for a few funny moments. And perhaps The Avengers was far too light hearted to actually portray the comic version, but comic Banner is a guy that is constantly fighting a dramatic emotional battle within himself. I didn't see that in Ruffalo at all, and sure that can be explained by his ability to now control the Hulk, but that takes away the most interesting part of the character, and does away with his trademark personality disorders, leaving just Ruffalo being Mark Ruffalo the scientist.

In fact, it's one of the main differences between the comics and the Raimi movies - Ditko's Parker had a tough social life because he was trying to spend time taking care of his uncle and aunt while trying to get a scholarship and spend time as Spidey. We'd get a sad monologue every issue about his responsibilities and how he could be normal and enjoy a decent life had he been more relaxed. Girls would often flirt with him, and he'd even throw a few insults towards Flash, such that they would go over his head, but never escape the understanding of the avid reader. Peter Maguire on the other hand didn't have a choice. He had no social life because he was uninteresting as a person. His uncle and aunt were taking care of him rather than the other way around. He was even stripped off of his active interest in science. His friendship with Harry was completely unexplained. He let the robber go not because his ego was getting the better of him, but simply because he was fucked over. |

If they can pull it off like Evans, I don't see the problem. His character was the best in FF and he was convincing as Cap. OTOH, I'm not so convinced about Reynolds. I can't remember his performance as Deadpool in Wolverine movie and his Green Lantern was so annoying.

I mean, it's a lot less radical change than RDJ making Tony an endearing spazzy geek prankster type. |

Christopher Reeve - Superman
Brandon Lee - Eric Draven Michael Keaton - Batman Michelle Pfeiffer - Catwoman Only incarnation of Catwoman I actually like Chris Evans - Captain America Willem Dafoe - Green Goblin A real shame they stuck him in that awful suit when he has the perfect Goblin face Aaron Eckart - Two Face same as Catwoman for me. I always thought he was a great concept they never did any anything worthwhile with him until TDK. As great as Ledger was I came out of the theatre talking about Two-Face. And of course: ![]() Thomas Jane - Punisher |

A friend of mine saw this clip of Karl Urban's potential Judge Dredd
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elmeQVFKe8c He was clapping but it might have been fapping from the way he nerdgasmed over this small clip. |

![]() I'm kidding. I promise, I'm just kidding I can agree with pretty much the entire cast of the Avengers. RDJ is the perfect choice for Tony Stark, Chris Hemsworth really wowed me as Thor, Tom Hiddleston was an amazing Loki, Mark Ruffalo was the biggest surprise in the world as I had been scorned by past iterations of Bruce Banner, and Chris Evans was damn good as Captain America. Bravo Marvel Paramount (now Disney). Bravo.

And like everyone else I really like RDJ as Stark J.K. Simmons as JJJ. The biggest surprise for me was Chris Hemsworth as Thor. I did not expect him to be as good as he was/is. |

Yep, perfect choice. He was born for this role, but they had to go and completely butcher the character... and the movie. |

This. There is only one Superman, and that is Christopher Reeves. I can't even imagine Superman with a different face. |

Christopher Reeve is the only Superman I've seen where you can actually believe people don't make the Clark Kent -> Superman connection. It's not just the glasses, it's the mannerisms, the posture, facial expressions, just the way he carries himself. Night and day. It's really good stuff.

He was a terrible Deadpool. Especially after the abomination that he became in the end of the movie.
I wouldn't made if they made a movie where you see dead pool looking like a normal dude in the beginning then his transformation due to Weapon X (healing factor) but his face and body have to be scarred due to his cancer afterwards and he'd have to wear a full body suit like he does in the comics. |
