Deadman Wonderland tries to have mature themes, but the setting was way too absurd for me to take anything seriously. I felt a lot of (improper) amusement and disgust watching it, but never anything approximating actual intrigue. |

Regarding DMW, the absurdity is kind of the point. Ganta's situation is ridiculous and his reaction to most things reflect that. But yeah, I'm kind of sick of defending the series, so to each their own I guess. |

I'm actually not a huge fan of it. Some episodes were really funny, some not so much. But seeing it in English on broadcast TV in the US as a representative of anime would be AMAZING. Lol.

If this comes to pass and the main complaint of Western anime fans in the future is that anime doesn't have enough toilet humor, I blame you.

Nah Mimi is the name of that girl Ganta knew in school in the first episode. Now that I look at the casting, they've really only shown the roles for the characters in the first 2-3 episodes. There's no Minatsuki, Nagi, or Senji (whose casting I'm most interested in).

That seems to be a good technical crew. Though Spice and Wolf hasn't really caught my attention beyond three episodes, the dub as a whole from what I've heard is good and seeing as how he directed some of season one and all of season two, DMW should be in good hands. |

Funimation ought to have done a video with a preview of the VA's and visuals and what not instead of this , for Deadman Wonderland. Music is :/

Izick said he'd be doing the OT, I'll give him a PM and maybe just do one myself (or at least ready some contributions)

Not true, unfortunately. For it to be considered a success (and therefore have some guaranteed staying power) the ratings have to be double what ASA typically gets, consistently.
The Toonami crew may not be getting supplied much money for this but it sounds like they're being given enough for Adult Swim to pull this if things don't work as well as they anticipate. I'm sure it'll do better than regular ASA though, no question. |

You should have heard him as Nagi in Negima. It was that plus an extra dose of helium delivered in a foe-British accent. Glorious.

For now. They don't really have a lot of money, so this is the best they can do at the moment. If it does well, there's no reason they can't expand to weeknights and obtain more shows/timeslots.

The Line-Up
@ 12:00 @ 12:30 @ 1:00 @ 1:30 @ 2:00 @ 2:30--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just some of the barebone ideas of how the OT is going to look. I'm not one for huge graphics that take way too long to load, and aren't useful. I'm going to be adding a show summary, explaining a few other things as well. |
