My gamertag & handle is "MaximumZero", which, when I created it in the early 00s, reflected my low self esteem, hence me considering myself a "Maximum Zero".
Also it sorta sounds like an oxymoron of sorts, as if a "Maximum of Zero" isn't normally possible. Of course "maximumzero" was taken on neogaf so I altered it as necessary. |

It was late 2002 or so, and I was much more dumb and naive. I'd been a Sonic fan my entire life, and was starting to get into Mega Man. I was really into Shadow the Hedgehog (to be fair, Heroes, Shadow, 2K6 et al hadn't happened yet), and thought the design of Shadow Man from Mega Man 3 was pretty cool, so I made a dumbass mix of the both: Shadow 'Hog. Lost the apostrophe somewhere, but whatever.
I almost never used this character in the end (thank God), but I've been using the handle for nearly ten years, so I figure I might as well go on using it. |

Had Daravon since AOL days; it comes from a character in Final Fantasy Tactics which I was playing when it came out at the time. I can't remember the specific reasoning other than even at the time I thought he lines were horribly bad, here's why:

Quote:
The Sailor part of my name was basically just a joke because Sailor Moon was on at the time (this was when anime was hitting big in the US with DBZ, Ranma 1/2, etc) and we knew some grown-ass men who were super into it and had posters all over their rooms (of course in their parents houses). GAF is actually I think the only place I still really have it though; once XBL hit I wound up dropping the Sailor part after a few years because people kept assuming it was because I was into Sailor Moon, and the average person already has enough things being said to them on XBL where I didn't need to add another. I've been MrDaravon pretty much everywhere for at least 4 or 5 years for no specific reason, other than a group of my friends all started tacking Mr on the front of their tags for no specific reason. The only other one I've thought about maybe changing it to is Beldaravon as as shoutout to the old Belgariad/Mallereon books if anyone is familiar with those, but eh. |

Are you kidding? Lyude is my favorite of the cast. (Followed shortly by Mizuti and then Savyna.)
Anyway, my handle is one I've used for over 12 years. Favorite game genre with favorite class/indication that I'm just that good. Admittedly, I'm fighting with what appears to be a website and two other individuals to be the distinct RPG Wizard, but it comes with the territory I suppose. Pretty much am a Wizard in some sense on all of my gaming related handles. |

I'm a huge fan of final fantasy, especially 3. And when I decided I needed an online name that was unique and wasn't ChronicBud8531 or something childish, I was playing Devil may cry, so I mashed em together, dropped the cry and added die to become KefkaMayDie, which I use interchangeably with kmd!

My handle here is what I use for most online forums. It combines two of my favorite things—Frank Zappa (Peaches En Regalia, though that's not my favorite part of Hot Rats!) and Panzer Dragoon. I can just imagine requesting an avatar of Frank Zappa making a face in a French dragoon uniform, sometime in the future perhaps. Someone somewhere may recognize me as a past moderator from the Minecraft forums. I'd be impressed if anyone caught that before.
I also use General Specific when interacting with the Mega Man community. Chose it when I joined Legends Station, most likely because I re-realized that I liked puns and Sheep in the Big City. The name's stuck with me ever since, and I ain't givin' it up. Finally: Klaymen's the name I go by when playing AirMech and posting at the Carbon Games forums. Definitely a Neverhood ref.

Was probably 13 years ago now. Liked Geckos and Stone cold Steve Austin. I wanted my email for hotmail to be gecko316 but that was already taken so it suggested geeko316 and I decided to take it. Been using geeko316 and geeko420 since. Not too many geeko's around.

Handle: OK Devious! Don't Move!
Tag: Games > Sales... half-baked market analysis like "the best selling console will get the best games" didn't bear out, and I was right at the time. |

My online name is Fatal x Fate. My last name is Fate and I guess I just thought it went well. I actually meant just Fatal Fate, but I ended up making it and forgetting the info, so I had to recreate it and already took the name at the time, so I just stick with the x for consistency even though I'd rather not have it.
For gaf, I use Papercuts on pretty much everything else(forum, email, etc.). I originally used it when I started posting on IGN, I couldn't think of a username and while thinking of one I had a papercut on the webbing of my finger that hurt. Username found. |

One my prime video game joys was playing Smash Bros. Melee in college. I found endless hilarity in hitting someone with the freezie item.
They twirl into the air encapsulated by a piece of ice. Sometimes, no matter how hard they mash the buttons, they're still trapped in ice, gently floating off the side of the level as they furiously mash away. And then they die. After the match, you're awarded the "Freezie KO" bonus, which I would make my first priority above winning. |

I love RPGs and SMT in particular. Junpei Iori is one of my favorite game characters. I've always been fond of the best friend archetype and I think he's one of the best examples I've seen.
In Persona 3, this exchange takes place: Junpei: This is a tough case, even for Junpei Iori, ace detective. Yukari: [...] More like stupei: ace defective. So I use "ace defective" in a lot of places. In the game it's a really corny joke, but on its own it's kind of fun. Then on message boards where I want something shorter/faster to type, it's just "stupei." It's a game reference but one that's not so overt that I worried it would start to feel dated with time. |

My xbox live handle is 'Gunviolence'. I thought it was funny, seeing in FPS's: " X was killed by GunViolence.
Plus it seemed a bit subversive. The better I played, the more people would come to hate Gunviolence and hopefully, the words themselves would get a negative connotation in the other players minds, leading to them truly opposing gun violence. |
