GAF name is just my last name plus ator.
Gamertag is IroncladBread, which is a Microsoft suggested name since I tried making a gamertag for about an hour, everything I wanted was taken, so I just stopped caring and went with the first suggested name. I think I'm going to change my gamertag to Franklinaut but I'm not sure yet Update: making this post made me finally decide to change my gamertag. Feels good

When I was a kid, my mom gave me a book by a Swedish author.
In that book, a group of kids want to start a rock/heavy metal band. So they all come up with their "rock names". They all choose some "cool" English names like "Trucker Johnson" and such, except for one kid who calls himself "Fritz Klyka". I thought that was funny and so my nickname became "Fritz Klyka" which I eventually shortened to "Klyka". |

Valygar is one of the characters in Baldur's Gate II, no surprise there.
My other username, Duerkos, is more unique since it is a name that I made up for a dwarf in some story. I'm trying to use it more, since Valygar is "quite common", and I've not found another Duerkos. |

In my previous job, I worked with a huge number of peoples names. My tag is one of them that made me laugh, but some of them were FAR worse lol. It's slightly immature of me (I know) but really, some of these names you simply would not believe existed.
One of my all time favorites, was Anairy Dick. I could give you a list that would make you howl with laughter, but perhaps this is not the place for it. |

It's a name of one of Yoshimitsu's (of Tekken and SC) moves that he has had since T3.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJV84...e_gdata_player Started using it back in 01 on the tekkenzaibatsu forums. |

My gaming tag is the same as my GAF tag and a result of the three character arcade score tables I grew up with in the 80's (my first name is Bruce).
When the above isn't available I use the name of my favourite AD&D/LARP character from waaaay back - Larc

My nick is from the movie "Nirvana" (1997) that stars Christopher Lambert in the role of "Jimi Dini", which I also used as my avatar here on GAF. Trailer here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g68AEanc61c It's one of the best movies ever made.
And for PSN, I just combined "Old Snake" (MGS4, the reason I bought a PS3 originally) and my nick into OldJimiDini.

When I was 11, I had to create a password for the school computer system, and we were warned during the process that it should be hard to guess. I took this to mean that it should be a silly word that nobody would think to associate with you, and this was the first thing to come to mind. A couple of years later, KaZaA was asking me to create a name for my account and I wanted the same kind of disassociation to remain anonymous, so I chose this for that, too. From then on, this was my username for everything online.
My Xbox Live and PSN tags are from the shortened form of the name that people eventually started calling me as a nickname to save time. |

Not really a fan of nicks/handles in general and usually just use real my name but it's obviously hard to register as a username sometimes, especially as I have special swedish characters in my last name, should I try to include that to make a unique login. beril is an old real life nickname that was born from someone missing a letter when inputting my name in a bowling machine or something like that.

I picked mine back when I started playing City of Heroes. I needed a cool superhero name, and my favourite languages are Japanese and Finnish, so I just picked the word for 'warrior' from both, thought it sounded pretty cool and went together well. Stuck with it ever since, and it's now my alias for pretty much everything, from forums to gamer tags to geocaching.
