My last name (Giglio) in katakana syllables. I also use "Jigu" whenever possible, such as for my online blogfolio, as it is harder to misspell.

Raven's Nest was the garage and mission briefing room in the PS1 Armored Core games (by the way, AC 2 was awsome, if I still had my ps1, I would still play it -was stolen a few years ago-)
H2 stands for the position I used to play in rugby, in both name of the position and number. Hooker 2. Hence, RavenH2... which is basically my universal on-line name across every platform and service... except my emails... |

I had a wrestling radio talk show in college (yeah...) and we gave ourselves Luchadore-esque names... I was El Tigro (which is admittedly a bastardization of El Tigre) and my buddy was Macstar. I added X a while back because people had taken the name on a few services...

Incredibly dumb story.
I was a member of a Zelda fan game community using the name "Evil Zelda Dude" (I was like 13, ok?). So naturally people started calling me EZD. So that was the first evolution. Now one of the members (coincidentally one of the team members who worked on Chrono Trigger Resurrection) said something in the vein of "EZD sounds like Easy D " and I've used it ever since for pretty much everything. The end. |

Not stupid, it's actually interesting to hear about people having the same names and monikers for years. I think I've gone by El_TigroX for the better part of 10 years... I think I'll be that way until the day I die. Weird and neat. |

When I worked at Crave Entertainment we localized an early PS2 sci-fi racing game (Hresvelgr) that we renamed as Jet Ion GP. I think it only came out in Europe.
Anyway one of the producers named a character in the game's mythology after me. It stuck as a nickname. http://*****.com/game/11030293/Jet-Ion-GP-PS2 |

From the book "Of War and Honor" a series of short stories chronicling two futuristic space forces, the Petit and Grand Harriers. The Grands are reserved for the high borne and noble families while the Petits are open to everyone, including the criminals, genetically engineered, etc.
Used to go by PetitHarrier until a long series of unlikely events caused me to lose access to my old email permenatly. |

Many many years ago, when I was like 11 or something, I had a hard time coming up with a decent nickname for MSN, CS etc. My brother had a nickname that's also from a palindrome, so of course I copied the idea. Mine's from the widely known Finnish palindrome "Atte kumiorava, varo imuketta" (meaning something like "Atte the rubber squirrel, watch out for the cigarette holder" in English). As I've been using it almost everywhere for over a decade, it's sort of stuck by now. It's quite often already taken by someone else, though. Then I just replace the "orava" with another rodent.

Playing Quake 1 multiplayer for the first time. My name was showing up as "Player," the default for someone who hasn't named themselves yet. My friend told me "type [some command] into the console to change your name." I just wanted to play and didn't care so I tapped the keyboard in rhythmic fashion for a second entering a "name" and DaBuddaDa is what came out.

I've had this name for 10 years, you can't find me EVERYWHERE :P
It's based on the old Christian legend of the Errand Jew, a man who shouted Jesus to keep walking before sitting, so Jesus cursed him to be always walking without rest until his return. Manty characters had been related to it, and in my favorite series, Catlevania, there is Saint Germain, a time traveler based on an historical figure who historical legends say was extremely young looking at old age, some people thought he was immortal, and thus said he was Ahasverus, the Errand jew. |
