To be honest, this news is kinda dampened in its impact for me because I haven't actually seen him in any recent action flicks. Hasn't he been doing mostly (if not entirely) dramatic roles?

the only one worth watching is his fight with Jet Li in Forbidden Kingdom. the rest of the movie can be skipped.

Glad he's going out with a proper Hong Kong film. (Although for some stupid reason the article calls it his latest Hollywood outing.)

The news itself is not new, he announced this would be his last intense action film one over 2 years ago.

I watched an old movie of his the other day. Well, I was sort of watching it. It was dubbed in spanish (I was at my in-laws) and he was a theif and was teamed up with another dude... and they were watching over this infant who came into their possession somehow.

Pure crazy but entertaining for the time I watched.

I'll always be a fan. I hope his last action movie is good so he leaves on a high note.

He's an action legend.

Oh right that was the last actiony movie I saw him in. That was about four years ago, and it wasn't good.

Good thing we've got Chinese Zodiac coming.

Whenever I think of this fight, I always think of this double punch he throws when he keeps bouncing off the wall (at this point: Here) Not sure why, but something about the movement feels "right."

Love alot of his movies, and hope he leads a long and happy life in retirement. Maybe he'll fill the "Father" or "Chief of Police" roles in future action movies. The ones that are just funny, small roles that don't involve any action. Like the actor that played his uncle in Rumble in the Bronx (and numerous other Jackie Movies)

Too bad Tony Jaa his only (could be) successor never amounted to much, so much potential I actually thought he was going to replace him.

As the matter of fact, they kind of meet in one movie as if Jackie is passing the baton to him

Thank you for everything Jackie. It's sad to know there won't be a Rush Hour 4. Chris Tucker's going to need a new source of income. :(

With CG trickery nowadays that level of stunt action will never happen again.

Also, my four year old knows who Jackie Chan is. He loves his movies.

check out all his HK movies from the 80's. You'll laugh at US martial arts flicks after that.

Should be "Jackie Chan retires from movies" because that's basically what this is. Who cares about him when it isn't about action? Anyway, good for him even though the 'world is too violent' sounds like a silly excuse.
