Missed the Flash game, what happened?

Flash macroed on 3base with early CC's, but Effort macro beasted to quick 3 bases too, got a 4th, hit all his injects and swarmed Flash with 200/200 line bane muta. Flash lacked tanks.

Lizzy attacked at pretty much the perfect time, any later and Effort would have just walked all over him with the broods.

Something that will be interesting is that if they want to use Lizzy again in SC2, he's got to play a BW match first. The alternating BW and SC2 matches on a per player basis is going to be weird.

No. His macro was good, but not that good. It's also important to take into account that neither of his opponents put him under any pressure, meaning he could dedicate all his larvae to drones. It's a lot easier to macro up when you don't have to build any units.

Ok just watched. Flash basically puts no pressure on Effort, doesn't harass at all...and naturally Effort takes a bunch of bases and macros the shit out of him. Looked like he was hitting his injects on time for the most part and spread creep effectively, but then again he didn't have to worry about any harass. Effort didn't look bad, I'd have to see him play a more active player to make any definitive statements though. Flash was far more active in some of the ladder games that were leaked, I don't understand why he played so passively tonight.

Flash basically looked like an average Terran from 2011. No harass, stimmed all his marines to chase Mutas, very late on all the big timings, etc. He'll also have to retire that 14CC build, at least on small maps like Antiga. It might work on a large map, but if he's carrying that over from BW it'll be very easy to exploit, especially in ZvT.

It's not surprising that the BW Protosses are having the most success. Lots of very strong timings to exploit, especially against Zerg. As I said earlier, I'm most curious about what games/players the BW Zergs are studying right now. Stephano for ZvP and DRG for ZvT imo
