The guy who is having the keyboard problems is using an awful build. His warp gate completion didn't line up with his gateways finishing and his pressure hit about 90 seconds too late.

Brood War pros definitely aren't impressing at the moment.

The guy who went Robo. He did a 3 gate pressure but it hit at about the 7 minute mark. Most 3 gate pressure builds hit way earlier than that.

Carriers are 100% dependent on map design. Map makers basically wrote the carrier out of existence as the switch to the ultra-macro maps was made. Carriers are the scariest thing in the world on maps that suit them, except to Flash.

So is this BW/SC2 hybrid the new format of Proleague or are these just showmatches?

What are the relative win rates for each race right now in Proleague? Toss is crushing the other 2 but I get the impression that Terran is a solid 3rd.

Just watched this...I'm rather impressed. I'll spoiler tag: Very impressive play from Zero. You don't see many zergs play around with the various non-Fungal spells the race has; he seemed to be experimenting a lot with Corrupters and Overseers. Also he spread his creep effectively, something BW players don't seem do initially.

And oh boy, dat aggressive Overlord/Spine front. I wonder how a better protoss would handle that, but I liked what I saw regardless

Can't engage ever, have to counter attack, abuse immobility. Its the ultimate army in the game. Dimaga style.

Well, Effort and Jangbi won, while Flash Bisu and Jaedong lost, so the pattern might actually be Fantasy winning.

Bisu and Flash are probably the BW pros with the least SC2 practice so far because SKT1 and KT were both in the Proleague Finals last season and they were their team BW aces so they had to keep practicing nothing but BW until a month ago. Teams that were knocked out of PL early got to start SC2 practice sooner.

Ironically, that means the best BW pros will look the worst during the initial phase of the switch since they practiced BW too much this year.

Also, many of the players are still in the BW OSL so they'll be practicing even more BW than other players who have nothing but PL.

Jaedong, Bisu, and Flash lose their first matches; Effort, Jangbi, and Fantasy win their first matches. Interesting outcome.

Effort has won his 2 SC2 and 1 BW match in PL so far.

Effort is the 2nd best Zerg behind Jaedong and apparently he's transitioning better.

He's also rumored to be one of the few BW pros who have made Grandmaster on Korea.

Hoping to see Jaedong play SC2 again, his last game was pretty disappointing and he was my favorite BW player. Could actually see Flash vs Jaedong in SC2.

That was a pretty awesome ZvZ, Effort definitely is looking good in SC2.

Didn't see the game, but I've seen Effort play pretty well at SC2. Out of the BW zergs, Zero impressed me the most. I think Jaedong will "get it" eventually. Moreso than many of the other BW players regardless of race, I got the impression Jaedong had been studying the most recent metagame of his race - in the case of ZvP, the Stephano three base Roach play. Only problem was that he didn't seem to take into account how dangerous Sentries and Immortals are, and did a dumb counter attack.

Well the games appeared to be a little better than last weeks ones.

Some enjoyable games, even if there were some questionable decisions in that they play with some of the BW mindset sometimes.

This is a pretty great PvZ right now. I really thought the Protoss had it at one point though. Hoping for sang to win, I don't think team 8 has won one match this season yet.

Yeah I really love how big the broodwar maps are and how much easier you can hold positions. That's imo the biggest weakness of a lot of the SC2 matchups.
