1. Episode 6
2. Episode 5 3. Episode 4 4. Episode 3 5. Episode 2 6. Episode 1 Hmm, effectively it's from last to first for me. :lol Theatrical editions for the OT, obviously. I have a great deal of childhood nostalgia for RotJ, although I've personally grown beyond the entire franchise to be honest and I wouldn't hold any of them among my favorite movies.

ranking all 6 movies is one of those things that im not so sure you could ever get an honest opinion. the internet decided the order years ago. probably before the prequel trilogy was even complete. and if you dont agree, youre a" troll", apparently.

Anyone saying 1 or 2 is above the rest is almost certainly a troll. I would also argue 3 but I guess somebody could like the action scenes a lot.

1 - Episode 5
2 - Episode 3 3 - Episode 6 (Lowered due to Ewoks) 4 - Episode 4 5 - Episode 2 6 - Episode 1 (Can I just give this a 0 instead?) What is surprising to me, as I always thought I was one of the few, is how high some people are rating Episode 3. There's some good Episode 3 love in here. This scene really choked me up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrqYKFft324

Star Wars Episode 3 also has the best soundtrack of all of the movies. These songs are heart wrenching or haunting:

I never grew up with star wars, so didn't have the nostalgia for it that other folk do...
III = V I flip from time to time. but 3 was actually a entertaining movie despite it's shortcomings. And so was 5. 4,6,1,2 were equally meh. 4th was just boring, 1st had stupid nonsense like jarjar and kid anikin. Lucas's writing fucked up the 2nd one and thoes stupid ewoks made me hate the 6th.

It's interesting, because it's almost like two different top three lists, right? One consists of three of the best sci-fi movies, and arguably some of the best of any genre, in existence, while the other consists of three putrid, vile, terrible films that are linked to the former three in an almost parasitic fashion. Basically, ranking three great movies, and three terrible ones.
I'd say... 1.) Empire Strikes Back 2.) New Hope 3.) Return of the Jedi 4.) Revenge of the Sith 5.) Phantom Menace 6.) Attack of the Clones I must say, I don't remember a whole lot from the last two, but I remember Clones being an even shittier movie than Menace. Could be wrong though; in the end all the prequels are absolute garbage though. Also, anyone who says any of the prequels are anywhere near the first three films, are just flat out wrong. |

1 - Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
2 - Episode IV: A New Hope 3 - Episode VI: Return of the Jedi 4 - Episode I: The Phantom Menace ...I refuse to score the others (zero points) and curse the days I watched them; I wish I could just wish those memories away. |
