Clouds got in the way too. I was going to go to the observatory on campus nearby to check it out but it looked like a storm was rolling in. The clouds got out of the way for only a few seconds. :/

Aw, that sucks. I had a welding mask so I took a few looks. Wasn't really spectacular or anything.

This is sooooo cool. Just chatted with some random dude on the street we admired our shadows together. Took such a gnarly photo of a trees shadow.

It's much worse during an eclipse. Same concentration in a much smaller area = Permanent eye damage in seconds.

Another one is coming soon, like in a few years. I was outside for about 15 minutes, just as it was reaching max coverage. It was cool but I really want to see a total eclipse. I just saw this crescent shape about 30 minutes ago. Even though most of the sun was covered by the moon, it was still very bright and hard to see, but it was interesting. |
